Baekgaard was founded in 1951 by native Dane, Peer Baekgaard . Today Baekgaard is owned by Vera Bradley Co-Founder, Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and family friend, Art Mandelbaum. Noted for its fine quality, unique style, and clean lines, Baekgaard designs and manufactures colorful leather accessories and handbags for women as well as business and travel bags and accessories for men under the creative vision of Barbara and her trendsetting design team. Together, they have developed a product line that empowers you to punctuate your style!
