History Lambretta is the story about the birth of an icon. Fernando Innocenti had a steel factory in Milan, Italy, producing components for the Air Force industry during the second world war. After the war, he needed a new product to continue his business. The scooter was genius. A cheap, easy, and fun transportation affordable for the people after the war. Built on products from the Airplane industry, the scooters small wheels are originally an airplane wheel. The scooters were produced between 1947-1971. The second success was in the 60’s when young people in London with the love for Italian fashion became fans of the scooter. They called themselves MODS and we witnessed a new era. Their lifestyle, fashion, and music passion made the scooter an Icon forever. Even today the Lambretta brand is known for its strong 60’s retro style and that massive movement.
