About Camera Backpacks
Camera backpacks are a convenient (and comfortable) way to carry a lot of photography equipment. They are popular with professionals as well as avid nature photographers and even hobbyists. The reason camera backpacks continue to be popular is because they offer maximum organization without tons of bulk in an easy carrying option. Just like classic backpacks, they bags are designed to be worn on the back and have many compartments. Unlike other backpacks, however, camera backpacks often have foam dividers or compartments specific for various camera equipment and accessories like lenses, memory, batteries, and cables. Even the exteriors of some camera backpacks have photographic-specific features like areas to hold a tripod.
Comfort is obviously another of the advantages to using a camera pack over another type of camera bag. The weight is better distributed than a shoulder bag because it is worn across two shoulders. Some camera backpacks, particularly those larger in size, even have sternum straps (belts) that help distribute the weight on the hips and stabilize the pack when the wearer is moving.
