Aside from being portable and easy to store, a quality travel pillow should be designed with strong neck support, easy to wash after use, and it should offer a supportive design that won’t break down after several uses. While most travel pillows are u-shaped, you can also find them in a rectangular shape which makes them more versatile. Rectangular travel pillows can double as a smaller-sized pillow in hotel rooms or can be used to lay up against the window in a car. Most travel pillows are made from memory foam or micro bead or they are completely inflatable. Memory foam and micro bead pillows are typically more comfortable, but not as compact as inflatable styles. If you’re willing to sacrifice a bit of comfort for something that won’t take up as much space on your carry-on, the inflatable travel pillow is the way to go.

Travel blankets tend to be lightweight and easy to carry and store, making them perfect not only for travel, but also on trips to the park or the ball game. Depending on how and when you will use the blanket, you may choose between several different materials and styles. Cashmere is the softest and most comfortable choice, but is also one of the more expensive materials available. The most common blankets are usually fleece or cotton. Fleece is very warm and comfortable which is perfect for colder temperatures. Cotton is lightweight and compact, but a lot thinner than other materials - making it an ideal choice for warmer temperatures.
