Urban Expressions was founded by two high school friends, Kyle Vojdani and Farbod Shakouri. Both were educated in Beverly Hills at young ages where their interest in the luxury fashion market began. Kyle pursued his college degree at UCLA while Farbod decided to further his education at nearby USC. Upon graduation in 2003, Kyle, who had taken a job for a textile manufacturer while in school, decided to take his knowledge of textiles and incorporate it into a company he launched in 2004, which became Urban Expressions. Shortly after in 2005, the two men who had remained close friends throughout college decided to team up and take Urban Expressions to new heights.

While the brand is still less than a decade old, Urban Expressions handbags have already appeared in multiple fashion magazines including Lucky, Seventeen, and Elle, and have even been spotted on Good Morning America, Today, and the CBS Early Show. With eco-friendly techniques, vegan materials, and a friendly price-point, it’s not hard to see why these handbags and accessories continue to grow in popularity in fashion circles and beyond.
