This 2 piece set is the perfect travel companion for the efficient traveler. A carry-on size wheeled duffel and a weekender that converts to a backpack for hands free travel.

Mother Lode Mini Duffel:

Measures 21.5" x 14.5" x 9.5" and weighs 7 lbs, 13 oz.

Large upper main compartment measures 21" x 14" x 4.5" and has the following features:

Full-size U-shaped zippered opening for easy loading. Opening measures 13.5" x 11"

#10 heavy-duty nylon coil zipper with lock-ready sliders

Zippered mesh pocket under the lid is pleated and measures 12" x 10.5"

Fold-up "wings" on two interior walls provide amazing rigidity, providing shape and stability, allowing the bag to stand upright

Two tie-down sinch straps to secure packed contents

Nose-load zippered end pocket with a floating back wall - if you need to over-pack the interior, the wall compresses into the end compartment. 14" x 5" x 5"

Four-point center-grab handles are X-box stitch and bar-tac reinforced. Hook & loop padded handle wrap

Lower compartment measures 21" x 14" x 4.5" and has the following features:

Padded perimeter walls that allow oddly shaped items some flexibility when packing.

One moveable "shelf" gives you total freedom to pack and secure your belongings the way you want to:

1) Perpendicular to the floor, preventing contents from shifting from end-to-end and crushing delicate items

2) Parallel to the floor, allowing ample room for longer items

Zippered pocket in the ceiling of the lower compartment – perfect for delicate clothing, maps, etc. 18” x 13”

Access the lower compartment easily via a #10 heavy-duty nylon coil zipper with lock-ready sliders

If this bag is still not big enough for you, unzip the floor that divides the upper/lower section, roll it up, then secure it in place with the two tie-down straps. Now you have one extra-large compartment measuring 21" x 14" x 9.5"

Handles on both ends allow two-handed trunk-styled lifting into vehicles

Recessed, locking telescoping trolley handle extends to a maximum length of 46"

Privacy-mesh ID pocket on the bottom is sized to hold a business card

Full-length skid rails on the bottom

Recessed authentic inline skate wheels are hot-poured polyurethane - the quietest wheels on the concourse

Four points of contact with the ground help prevent the Mother Lode Mini from falling forward when upright

Interior is fully lined with high visibility burnt orange 210-denier nylon - finding small things are easier

Weekender Convertible:

Measures 22" x 14" x 9" and weighs 3 lbs, 10 oz.

Interior main compartment measures 22" x 14" x 5.5", and includes a zippered pocket for small items

Padded Airmesh grab handles on the top and side

Hide-away shoulder straps are generously padded with Airmesh undersides and thumb-loop speed-cinch webbing. Adjustable from 22" to 39"

Inside the lid of the main compartment is a dual-zippered "headliner" compartment measuring 22" x 14" x 1.5"

Internal tie-down straps adjust from "high" to "low" synch positions, letting you pack in layers

Four cinch straps on the side gussets allow you to compress a fully packed bag to its smallest size. Quick release buckles make unpacking easier

Main compartment opens via an oversized #10 nylon coil zipper, complete with dual sliders and a storm flap for the unexpected rain squall

An unusual front compartment is a cross between a briefcase and a sport bag - pen pockets, key leash, zippered nylon, mesh,and PVC-laminated mesh pockets, slash pockets, and an I.D. pocket too. 22" x 13" x 2"

Anti-dumping pelican gussets on the front compartment let you access the contents without everything falling out

Zippered front pocket measures 18" x 11.5"

Self-repairing coil zippers have pullers that use photo-reflective sport cords for nighttime safety

High contrast 2-Tone nylon is a cross-weave of brilliant color and black

840 denier nylon for the black panels

High-visibility orange nylon lining makes finding your stuff a lot easier

Back panel is padded for increased comfort

"I flew 80,000 miles in the last 9 months with this bag. It weighs about 4 ponds less than my highest end samsonite of equivalent size, and really, less than just about anything similar in size. The price is extremely reasonable. European carryon standards can be very fussy about weight and the extra pounds helps. If you check--which I seldom do--it is easy to spot. The organization is outstanding. The interior space is very very flexible. The orange interior makes it easy to find anything inside. Based on this experience, I bought another for my wife and two others of a slightly different variation for my kids. They seem tough as nails. I have had zero structural failures--no rips, tears, zipper failures. They track excellent-even at a dead run. Absolutely my favorite bag-including some very spendy alternatives." We have 3 small children and we were able to pack all of their clothes, toiletries, etc. for four days quite easily in the Weekender. If you dont pack it heavy, it fits well on your back and we were able to wear it and pull a wheeled bag. The bag is well organized and I found it easy to place travel docs in the outside pocket and access it easily. We just got it, so I cant speak to the durability, but so far so good."
