Tried it out on a recent three-day trip -- was lightweight and easy to pack/carry. Quality is good and product arrived in just a few days with no special shipping. Have just ordered 3 more for Christmas gifts." |

"I bought this bag as a cheaper alternative to the Tom Binh Aeronaut. I wanted to one bag it for a trip to California for two weeks, as preparation for a two-three month stay in Mexico. I roll my clothing and was able to fit two full layers of clothes in the main compartment, with undergarments and swimwear in the mesh layer in the bag. The front pockets are deep enough to lose smaller items, but work well for towels, folders, or longer clothing items. I stacked my toiletries and that seemed to work well space-wise but it was kind of a pain to dig them out daily.
Overall, the organization of this bag was great. Except for losing my cotton swabs in the front pockets a couple of times, I was able to keep all my clothes organized and in easy reach for the whole trip. I easily could have stayed a full month with what I packed in the bag, though I had to be a bit creative with storing toiletries.
The bag was great for travel. Didnt quite fit in the overhead bins on Amtrak but I kept it under my feet. Slipped easily into the overhead airplane bins on Frontier and I didnt even get a second glance. Seemed kind of big (I am 5 foot 2) when I was walking with it, but when set down I realized it was the same size as your average rolling carryon without the extra weight.
Went well with me on buses, trains, airplanes and even walking across town. The weight is well distributed and the backpack straps are very comfortable. I was able to carry a much heavier bag than I would normally be able to for quite a ways. I look forward to the freedom it will give me bus hopping in Mexico.
The one downside of this bag is the clips for the shoulder strap. There is one place to clip the strap on one part of the bag and I could not for the life of me find the other clip. You could probably sew one on easily, but if youre not going to wear this as a backpack be warned about this minor design flaw." |

"Heard about his bag in a couple of John Flinn articles (former SF Chronicle Travel editor). Great value. Well constructed. I have been breaking it in with daily use preparing for a lengthy trip overseas. I like the idea of a combination of an easily accessible office area with a separate area that opens up like a suitcase. A netbook fits in the office area easily as do file folders. The backpack architecture is substantial plus it stores away in a pocket. The proof of all this of course is on the actual trip coming up." |

"I bought this backpack for my husband. We just came back from 2 weeks in Switzerland, Italy and Germany. We traveled by train carrying everything in our backpacks! His by far was the best. The easiest to get to and organize and comfortable to carry. Plus, the easiest to check on the plane since the straps will all go inside. And after several weeks of abuse...it still looks new. My next luggage purchase will be one of these for me. Its a great product." |

"I purchased this bag on the recommendation of onebag.com and used the ideas there to pack this carry-on for a 10 day trip. Yay! Everything fit and I didnt have to pay to check my bag which meant I had a few extra dollars on a really tight budget. The large internal compartment is great for all my clothes/shoes etc and the outer compartments worked well for items I needed to grab in a hurry - jacket and the now infamous plastic bag of liquids... Would definitely recommend this bag." |

"I do not travel by air frequently, but when I do, I despise checking baggage. This is by far the best carry-on I have ever used. It holds so much more than a bag with wheels, is easy to carry and put in and take out of the overhead bins. It is an excellent carry-on.
I am impressed with the quality of construction. The zippers are strong and easy to use. They seem to be too nice for something in this price range. The bright interior makes it very easy to find things, and the organization just makes sense. The cinch down straps do not have as much room to squeeze as I would like because I have rarely had this bag even close to full.
I liked this bag so much that I also bought the mother-lode (when the wife travels!) and the mother-lode mini. The quality of all of these is excellent.
You will be amazed at how much fits. You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality. You will be happy you bought it." |
