"I could hardly be more pleased. The bag was roomy and durable, attractive and well designed. More than enough space for our 3 weeks abroad. It works wonderfully as a suitcase for short carries or when your back gets hijacked by your wifes pack. On the longer hauls it works comfortably as a backpack. I even slung it over my shoulders a couple of times like a duffel. Any way you want to carry your load, this adapts to it. Much easier to access all of your stuff than a typical backpack or duffel. Comfortably under carry-on limitations for all but the smaller commuter planes. The littlest of nits would include a lack of water bottle holders (Though when used as a suitcase these may take too much abuse) lack of a serious waist strap (though again, this is designed as a suitcase first and backpack 2nd) lack of interlocking, lockable zippers in some places... and I have to wonder what is really gained by the tension straps on each side though they may be part of why the bag held up so well. All said, I anticipate that every other suitcase I have ever used is likely to gather dust. This has got me looking forward to my next trip.
A bit of advise. #1: Get the packing cubes. They are great organizers, for your smaller stuff especially. #2: The Rick Steves Civita is extraordinarily light and the copper color matches the inside of your ebags Weekender almost perfectly. It fits nicely in the zippered web pocket on the underside of the main flap. Now you can daytrip and/or bring extra stuff home at the end of your travels. And youll never know its there until you need it.
Thank you ebags for a superb product. Ill be back for more." |

"I love this bag. I took it on a month-long driving road trip that began with a cross-country flight. On the flight, I was very lucky that I had chosen this for my carryon rather than a rollaboard type bag, as the plane was 2 and 3 across seating, and on the 2 side of the plane, none of the overhead bins were deep enough to accomodate bags with wheels. (It forced some people to need to gate check..) Since this thing squished, even though it was packed fairly full, it fit in the short bin no problem. The backpack is comfortable for carrying, and the organization scheme was perfect for my needs. Most of my trips now are of the weekend variety, and its perfectly fine for that too. If I were to travel to Europe, I would just take this and a big cross-body purse. Any time you are dealing with more variety than just airports and hotels (trains, cars, older hotels with stairs instead of elevators, etc.) a backpack is much more convenient than a rolling suitcase." |

"I¿ve only had this bag three weeks, but I¿ve used it twice for multi-day car trips. It¿s large enough for everything you need for several days and a laptop.
A skilled traveler could live out of this bag indefinitely. The backpack straps work really well.
The material is really sturdy and well constructed. The snaps seem a little flimsy, but could easily be repaired on the road with a carabiner if ever needed. I can¿t imagine a better value. The other convertible bags I considered cost four or five times as much as this. I¿ve received several compliments on it and people think it¿s very clever. I¿m thinking of picking up a few to stick back in a closet for gifts as needed." |

"Heres the facts: I work for a major freight railroad and work 365 days a year and I am on call 24/7 and I got sick and tired of buying bags that were suppose to be rugged or tough and werent ! I bought this bag(I own three e-bags) to take with me on my overnight trips and couldnt be happier ! As with all the e-Bags I own,(my brother ownes a few also) this is one great bag. I fit a pair of jeans, two shirts, two socks and two underwears inside the main compartment. Oh I also carry raingear and a charger in the main compatment. The other compartments are filled with other items for work. I carry alot of stuff !! Long story short,if this bag stands up to me and getting thrown up on a locomotive almost every day, it should stand up to just about anything !! I waited almost two years to write this and Im telling you e-Bags are great !! Once I had a problem with a zipper on another e-Bag and after a two minuet conversation on the phone e-Bags sent me a brand new bag, no charge I had it two days later and they didnt even want the old one back ! I tell everyone at work how great the bags are and I will only buy e-bags from now on !!!!" |

"Goods:
- Designed for travel.
- Same size or larger than my carry-on rolly bag.
- Straps have lots of cushion.
- Great Price!
Bads:
- Bag is a little heavier than expected. Wanted to get another one for the Miss to carry around but glad I didnt. She definitely couldnt carry a loaded weekender for a long periods of time.
- The hooks that hold the backpack straps on feel a little flimsy. Ill will see if the survive my trip to Italy.
- Zippers are low quality." |
