"This is a great backpack for a week-long hike. I bought a Jansport previously (similar capacity and model), which ripped at the belt after two trips. Ive only used this bag once so far, but I noticed immediately that it is far more comfortable than the Jansport. The belt has good cushioning. The shoulder straps and general adjustment are excellent. The pocket organization is good. The only thing that I wasnt too keen on is how gear attaches under the pack, i.e. carrying a tent, tent poles, etc. It works, but is not as nice as the Jansport in this regard. Everything else is great, and I highly recommend it for the intermediate backpacker." |

"The Kelty 5600 is a must have backpack for extended trips. There is enough room for all necessities for a week long venture whether in warmer conditions or colder climate. Very competitive price for the size and weight. The many compartments makes it easy for organization of gear. Very comfortable on long rugged hikes." |

"Liked the look and feel of this bag. Has plenty of room for a weekend hike and 3-4 days if pack efficiently. Multiple pockets for easy access of smaller items and top and bottom access make everything easily accessible. Has a place for a hydration pack that works great. Top removes and can be used as a fanny pack. Overall very satisfied with this bag and would recommend to others." |

"I like all of the external pockets and various access
points to the large inner cargo area. Quality of construction is good and plenty big for everything I carry. Only negative is I have a 38 waist and find the hip belt a bit small. Working with Kelty
to extend the belt. Kelty is very friendly and helpful
on this issue." |
