"The answers are reflective of the user, my son in college. He LOVES the bag, especially the lap top compartment. There are lots of good nooks for small electronic devices. And the pack distributes weight well. My 17 MacBook Pro fits comfortably inside. There are a couple negatives for me: (i) A standard 1 liter water bottle does not fit in the side pouches instead, I have to put it in the main, large pack area---along with everything else. (ii) The airline ticket pouch is just open to the air with no closure. They should have put a velcro flap overtop it to prevent (e.g.) rain from getting inside the pouch. (iii) There is not much padding on the bottom of the laptop pouch, and there is practically no padding on the sides of the pouch. (There is substantial padding on the back side)." It is a 17 inch computer and it is impossible to find a good bag. This one fits the bill, although my laptop doesnt fit in the designated laptop pouch but fits in the large compartment that has no padding. So I bought a Case Logic 17 inch Laptop Sleeve (ebags was very helpful in helping get a sleeve that fit) to protect it. Now there is room for a stack of papers in the built in laptop sleeve as well as several thick folders in the main compartment. This is a well built pack with lots of great storage. I love it."
