"I took this bag as my only bag on a 25 day trip to Myanmar, where it held up well. It traveled on buses, motorcycles, boats, and jets. I used packing cubes inside, which helped with balancing the load. The bag tends to tip over if you don't pack heavy things on the wheel end and distribute the rest of the weight carefully. Holds a lot of stuff, and works well as a carry on. It also held up well on international flights as a checked bag. Forces you to pack light, always a good thing! I just missed having an internal zipped pocket (exterior ones are nearly worthless because they don't expand) but packing cubes help."

"It's new, but I've been generally impressed by what I see with one exception. The handle is short. I can't put the A.Saks 16inch tote on top and reach the handle top so that they become one carry. I like the bag well enough that I'll work something out, but it's not obvious."

"This is a good carry on alternate. If fully packed it can be a bit difficult to put in the overhead of a plane. This is due to the boxy nature of the design. The light weight is a big positive."

"I was impressed with how well made and sturdy this bag is. The wheels are very sturdy, as well as the handle which pulls out to two lengths. It wheeled well and did not easily tip over. It also has a foot to provide stability when standing it up. Empty, the bag is relatively light weight. I used it for one international flight and checked it rather than taking it as a carry-on. It survived the trip very well with no damage at all. The interior does not provide any organization but it does have straps inside to tie down the contents if the bag is not full. I am very happy with this bag!"

"This suitcase is very lightweight and can fit 2/3 weeks worth of clothing for a trip. I found the suitcase in tact after the flight both ways. The handle is not too strong when its completely open to the highest point. We were very please with our purchase."

"Love it. Light but not flimsy. We took it on a trip through Scandinavia and it worked great. I would recommend using packing cubes available on this website and stack with heaviest on the bottom by the wheels. This bag holds an incredible amount of stuff so be sure to weigh before heading for the airport scales. This is our second A.Saks and we love them."

"This is an unstructured duffel bag so photo shown is somewhat misleading. The lack of structure is great when it comes to storing the bag - it collapses flat. But I would recommend using it with packing envelopes or packing cubes so that clothes don't come out a jumbled mess. The expansion zipper is a nice feature. Converting the handles into an over the shoulder strap is somewhat awkward."

"I had read such raving reviews about this bag that I did not anticipate this from possibly happening but when it did, it almost meant we had to place it in the luggage compartment below, which was an offer the airline gave everyone since they acknowledged that the overhead bins likely couldn't accommodate some pieces that normally fit and are within in size restrictions of their airline. Not that this should be a deterrent, but, be mindful that the rolling handle may pose a problem depending on airline hand-carry measurements. Try to check first. In our case, we were slated for a different sized plane and we were not able to avoid this situation by using another piece, but it sure was stressful trying to get the piece to fit somewhere or have to empty out the items we really needed before sending it off to the luggage compartment below. I was truly disappointed that although this was an ideal piece of luggage, I had so much trouble placing it in the overhead bins because of the handle. At the last minute, our plane was changed to a smaller older large bodied jet (Hawn Air) and it wouldn't accommodate this piece with small overhead bins. When we tried to put it under the seat, we almost couldn't but were fortunate enough to do so because the two-seater configuration in front of us was wide open without any typical separating bar that they normally have. Check first to be stress-free. Otherwise, for getting around the airport, packing, organizing, this is great!"

"It fits nicely into my 25" A. Sax bag. I will pop this out when I need a smaller bag for the M Picchu train & my boat in the Galapagos."
