"I like this bag very much, and the value is exceptional. The leather is soft and supple, and it feels far more expensive than the price paid. Other aspects of the bag, hardware, stitching, zippers and design also seem high quality. I bought in brown, and I'm happy with that choice. This is not a huge bag. That's mostly good to reduce clutter, but not all laptops would fit. I am able to get an HP EliteBook with a 12 inch 16x9 ratio screen and a full sized iPad to fit along with associated charges, travel adapters and such. There's not much more space available for other items, aside from smaller items in its many pockets, but that works for me. The lack of a handle on the bag beyond the main shoulder strap is taking some getting used to. I've not traveled through the airport with it yet, but I realize that without the handle it can't simply hang on the back of my wheelie as previous bags have. The main shoulder strap is very comfortable, even when the bag is fully loaded. I do have two quibbles: 1) There is no padding in the main compartment to cushion a laptop or other breakables (I borrowed some removable cushioning from a previous bag). 2) I was surprised to discover that the hardware was all brass given that the main picture on eBags is ambiguous (as I look more closely at the detailed images I see the brass now). Maybe the black bag has silver hardware? I would have preferred a nickel or other silvery metal for hardware on the brown bag, but I realize that is all personal preference. Sum it up: great value that has me looking at other Amerileather products from eBags."

"This bag seems to be the perfect replacement for the raggedy nylon messenger bag I had been using. As a working reporter covering city council, I needed an upgrade, and this bag definitely serves that purpose. The leather feels supple and thick, and it does have plentiful pockets, including a few hidden zippered pockets. I only carry around my iPad and notes and a few other items, so it has good space for me, but it looks like it won't fit a laptop over 13". That the bag has no handle and the strap isn't removable lowered the grade some. But for the price (caught it on sale, journalists' budget), its a very solid and stylish pickup. I certainly would recommend this bag."

"This is a beautiful bag and it is constructed well. It has many pockets and compartments for carrying around your business and personal essentials although a laptop wider than 12" will not fit inside the bag. I am returning this item only because it is too big for me. I am 5' tall and have a very petite frame. This bag is way too big for me. It's too bad because it's such a nice bag."
