"The reviewer who said the strap is too short didn't try to adjust it. It will hang as it does in the photo of the bag over the mannequin's body if you put the strap in it's longest position. It needs to hang that low so you can access the stuff inside while it's hanging cross-body style, and it does just that. I agree that the outer pocket isn't meant for something you need access to very often as it's on the curve of the bag. But a phone put inside the bag will work fine since there's a pocket that holds the phone near the top of the interior. This will be great for day trips to NYC so I will have all my necessary stuff with me on the train but I can leave it at the hotel and walk around the city with either my Baggallini Plaza Mini or the Everyday Bagg since I like to be unencumbered. I like a very lightweight bag that I can "wear" even sitting at a table in a crowded restaurant (the Plaza Mini holds cash, cards, i.d., phone, lipstick and not much else: perfect). By the way, the Plaza Mini fits nicely inside the Paige Bucket and creates a perfect little system."
