"This is my 4th B&R bag and I'm very pleased with it. The quality of construction, the materials and the attention to detail is phenomenal and what i've come to expect from B&R. I own the 20 in convertible, the Excursion backpack and used to own the 15in laptop backpack (non-clamshell version). I was using the Excursion as my daily computer bag because the interior volume of that bag is the largest of any B&R backpack. However, this 17in clamshell seems to hold more yet retains a more compact size/shape than the Excursion. This is because of all the pockets inside this bag. I thought the clamshell feature was a gimmick that would just add bulk but when I received the bag, I was shocked how thin this bags profile is, even with the extra clamshell layer. Also, I can now see the utility of this feature when going through the airport. All my B&R bags have held up extremely well with heavy daily use with the only sign of wear on the back padded area; the fabric started to pill there. I'm confident this bag will hold up to daily wear for many years to come. ---One note, the bag I received has a slightly different front pocket layout. It has fewer pockets on one side than the bag pictured."

"I've become a fan of Briggs & Riley ever since I bought a suitcase. Their engineering design is remarkable - things that are full look sleek! (Could they do that for my body?!) I am still getting used to the backpack and where to put things. It has lots of pockets and lots of space for my laptop and all the other stuff with which I travel. Yes, for a backpack it's expensive. Mine hangs on a strap on my suitcase and is schlepped across airports and hotels on a regular basis. It has to be sturdy and it has to fit well. Highly recommended."

"Excellent product - only request would be for a pocket on the side to carry a water bottle."

"So far, I have been very happy with this item. It has sufficient flexibility for a variety of situations, and has held up well through a significant amount of local use and long haul travel."

"I needed a new backpack because my new 17" laptop was even bigger than my old one and the new laptop did not fit in my old eBag. I also was looking for a backpack that was water-proof, since I walk to work, and one with durable zippers. This bag met those needs well. The bag appears very durable. It has lots of organizer features - almost too many for my taste. It is comfortable to wear and sits high on the back, which is better for comfort and posture. .. .. My only complaints are these: 1. Lunch doesn't fit too well. This bag is designed for flat things like files, books, notes, laptops - not tupperware and fruit. 2. The color black is pretty boring."

"Another great item from Briggs & Riley. I like the sleek profile and it holds more than you would think. Very convenient and comfortable since I take the train to the work. And you can't beat the B&R guarantee."

"More space for organization needed, easily could add two outside pockets for umbrella and water bottle, as an example. Overall well made, durable and nice clean look."
