Briggs & Riley BRX Expedition 28" Rolling Duffle 

"I love this bag, and all of the BRX Expedition bags we've purchased this year. Originally, we bought the rolling duffle for use during our trip to Indonesia, knowing we would venture to several locations and face pretty primitive conditions in some. The bag held up like a champ. Then we really tested the bag by venturing to several countries in Africa. Despite multiple baggage handling situations and several episodes where the bag was left with hotel or other service staff, once again, it came through without a scratch. Finally, the ultimate test: a flight from Atlanta to Denver. Alas, the handle succumbed to the rigorous torture inflicted by US baggage handlers. Not to worry! Within a few days of shipping the bag to Briggs and Riley Repair Center, the bag was returned in excellent condition with no charges for return shipping. We are true Briggs and Riley fans, and will continue to favor them above all others."

"So far have made it to Phi Phi Island after a weeks travel that included 4 flights and 2 boat rides. It has just the right size, it hit 54 pounds weight in the USA and I took 4 Lbs out to save $90 in over bag charge and then put it all back in for the international legs that had a higher allowance. So the size is good and the construction is solid. My only concerns are the four strap latches which seem flimsy and apparently the TSA couldn't figure out how to relatch them so they were loose for two flights and further there are zipper toggles that pose a "rip off" hazard. By rip off, I mean that should they get snagged, they could pull the zipper assembly with it (I had this happen on another bag years ago and then took the remaining togs off). I will monitor this and might take them off or shorten them. A travel option I am considering for this bag are packing cubes."
