"This bookbag looks and feels great. Before this one, I had a guys' bookbag that has never fit me properly, which I bought only because it was the only one in the store that fit my huge, 4-year-old laptop. So this new bookbag fits my petite frame a lot better, and has a cute design to boot! The only thing about it is that it tends to "bubble" out when you have something in the front compartment even though the main pocket in the back may not be full. Other than that, it is great for daily use to carry books, as well as a smaller laptop, 14". I go to college, and the size of this backpack is perfect for carrying all the books I need for everyday use. Its lightweight design, and smaller size, are much more tolerable for my back."

She's in 7th grade and hauls a lot of books to and from school - plus she walks so it is worn on her back both ways.... It is holding up incredibly well! No rips! Zippers all still work! "I bought this bag as a day pack for when I travel as it matches my Dakine Carry-On rollerboard. I have used it on two vacations now - one where we were hiking in the jungle and across archeological dig sites for many hours in extreme heat, and it looks as good as new and was very comfortable. The straps are nicely padded, and I love the insolated pocket to keep water cold. It will hold a small laptop and has plety of padding for that if needed. I haven't used it to carry any heavy books. It is kind of small I would thing for a ton of books, but I have carried some relatively heavy items (about 20 lbs) and it was comfortable and has held up well. I would think it would be good for carrying in college across campus with a book or two and your laptop, but not good if you need to carry every book you own. (And I know sometimes you have to do that) I am very pleased with this purchase for my needs!"

"Too small. Yeah, there are many compartments, but theres not enough room to fit things. It's hard to zip the largest compartment when my laptop is in it. It's like the laptop compartment isn't deep enough, so i can't zip it over the corners of my laptop. The food compartment that is insulated is too small as well. The worst thing about this backpack is that when I put ice in a ziplock or a cold pack to keep my food cold, it eventually leaks through the ENTIRE backpack. Yeah,even through to the other compartments. However, I am pleased with the look of the backpack and the organization."

Functionally the bags work just fine, but seem to feel a little cheap and lack the features of higher end bags.
