"I really like this backpack. It is very well made with sturdy zippers and seems balanced well. It also has the hip strap to help take the weight off your shoulders as well as a locking cross brace in the front. It is effortless to wear. One thing that surprised me (and wasn't obvious from the pictures) is the camera compartment opens to the rear (where the straps are). The camera compartment is also completely removable as a separate bag (with it's own shoulder strap!). So, while it would be awkward to get into the bag while wearing it as a backpack, you could take the camera compartment out and carry it (but it would be heavy on your shoulder). There is also a smallish (about 1 inch or so deep) front pocket with pockets for odds and ends, and it's big enough to hold my larger sized laptop! This bag is a good compromise for traveling and having all your camera gear together in one place. Although it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, I totally love it!"

"This bag is only a week new and so far it is just what I needed. Easy access, durable, roomy, and easy to carry around. All my camera gear fits inside along with other assorted items. I have two other standard styled camera bags and this bag blows them away with reference to portability, and functionality. I have other Dakine products and have always been satisfied with the quality. Ebags made the purcahse simple and shipping was quite fast. Thank you."

"Purchased this Dakine Mission Photo backpack for my husband, after seeing a guy on the beach have one. My husband & I are photography hobbyist and we like to go on hike and long walks with our dslrs. We have tried numerous dslr bags/backpacks and all have been too bulky or cumbersome. And all have pretty much looked like a camera bag that screams, "I have an expensive camera in my bag, come and take me!" But with this Dakine Mission Photo backpack, it looks like a regular sporty backpack. When the photo block is taken out, it just becomes a regular backpack. Pros : * Photo block is a great idea! And we love that it is removable, so you can use the backpack w/ or w/out it * Fits his Nikon d7000 w/ attached 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, Nikon 24-105, Nikon 50mm f/1.4D, and SB-600 flash..... with more room to spare. * Made of polyester & nylon, which imo, looks & feels better because it's not such a hard and stiff bag * Lots of zippered compartments to help keep you organized * Well padded shoulder & waist straps w/ neoprene padding to help absorb the weight evenly * Adjustable sternum chest strap * And the best part was, eBags had the best price on this bag! I was able to get it w/ free shipping for less then $100! Go eBags! ..... my first time shopping with them Cons? Can't really think of any. So overall, we are extremely happy with our purchase. Now, if they made one that was smaller for a woman, I would pick one up myself. And if they do, it would have to be smaller as well as thinner on the shoulder straps. Thanks Dakine & eBags! We have finally found the "perfect" bag for our dslrs! And believe me, we have purchased quite a few..... only to resell it."

"I like the size of the bag and that it doesn't look like a camera backpack. The fit and finish are not as good as other bags I have, e.g., Lowepro. The straps are not comfortable for me. The carry handle which is integrated with the strap causes the bag to lean back a bit so the straps cut into my shoulders. Earlier models had a pocket that could hold a water bottle, but this year's model doesn't have it."

"Bag is quite bulky but has the appearance of a regular dakine bag. Very comfortable and I prefer this over my over the shoulder camera bag due to the strain it gives to my shoulder after a certain amount of time carrying the bag. Overall, the bag is great and recommend this bag if this is what they are looking for!"

"This bag has come in really handy while traveling with my camera equipment and laptop computer as it fits both! I find it frustrating as a school bag because of where the access to the camera and accessories is placed on the bag. Also, there are no specific compartments for SD/Compact Flash cards near the area where the camera is stored. That extra help to stay organized would be useful. Otherwise, it holds a ton and I am pretty happy with my purchase."
