"I love these Eagle Creek towels! I now have 4 of the Extra Large, 2 (or 3 -- can't remember) of the Large and 2 Medium, and use them for my everyday hand and bath towels; my wife also likes them for a bath towel. I've never used such a "thirsty" fabric; it seems like most towels, even the thick, plush cotton terry cloth towels, don't really soak up all the water -- they leave your skin feeling damp. These Eagle Creek towels don't; my skin feels dry after using them, and the towels themselves dry a lot faster than the thick cotton ones. These have a short nap terry cloth texture, unlike other camping/travel towels, which feel more like chamois and are a bit lighter than these, but don't soak up water as well. Another thing I like about these is that they don't leave any fine threads or lint behind -- very nice for washing and inserting contact lenses; my big thick cotton towels (the plush brand that Costco sells, can't remember the name) still leave tiny little threads on my skin, even after half a dozen launderings. These are pricey, which is why I didn't give them a 10 for value, but worth it."

"Used for my daughter's sports camp. Worked great! Plenty big to wrap around body & secure, took up very little space, lightweight, quick drying, didn't get mildewy smelling after a week. Also nice for pool, travel, extra towel-absorbent fabric in car, etc. XL is too large for gym towel unless you need/want it big!"

"Good towel! Now I can use just one towel instead to get completely dry!"

"I give this high marks. I have not travelled with it yet, but I used it at home as my bath towel for one week. 1. This is not a back-packing towel. If every ounce and every cubic inch of volume counts, you would do better with a smaller towel or a foam swimmer's towel. 2. If you are away from home for long periods of time, like 1month +, this is great. I like to have my own towel, sheets (a small, packable silk sleep sack) when I'm traveling , to be prepared for venues with dicey hygiene. I live in a state with hot, humid summers. in my week long test, I found that this towel absorbs water well, and --- in what seems like a violation of the laws of physics --- also dries quickly. It feels nice on the skin. I have the extra large model, and it folds up to a packet about the size of an Agatha Christie paperback novel. This will definitely be coming with me on upcoming trips to Thailand, Malaysia and Laos."

"I'll admit to preferring the feel of a "regular" towel, but my daughter LOVES these as camp towels. And since she flies to and from, eliminating the bulk of regular towels is a definite plus. I am buying more."

"Just used for the first time on a 3-day trip to my class reunion, staying in a college dorm. Works perfectly, hang-dries in about 4 hours, stays fresh for re-use. Very lightweight but works as well or better as a full-sized regular bath towel."

"This towel goes on every trip with me. Barely takes up any room in my luggage and I wouldn¿t travel without it. More absorbent than most hotel towels, and I seem to make use of it every trip. Often need extra towels after a workout or swim and this does the trick. Great purchase!"

"Light weight travel towel, doesn't stick to skin. However how come it's so expensive?"
