"Overall this is a great backpack for the price. I wasn't expecting the bag to be so sturdy and I'm impressed with the material they used. There are enough compartments to fit all your little needs, and the organizer compartment has all the little pockets you need to fit your pens and little tidbits. the measurements on my laptop are 13.2x10.6x1.5 and it fits perfectly which was kind of relieving since most bags don't fit that size. The bottom pad on the sleeve is good to have for protection but the top part of the sleeve is exposed(aside from the little velcro strap)and I'm sure in time that I'll knick the exposed corners of my laptop. As for books, you can fit one notebook and one large textbook or two small textbooks before it starts to feel a little tight in the main compartment with the notebook. The design is decent and really close to what's pictured but if you're looking for better styles I'd recommend the Ogio laptop backpacks. Overall the price is great for what you get, and you get alot of cool little features like the pull out CD sleeve."

"I love this bag! I am 5'3" tall with a 12" Powerbook and so did not want a bag that was too large or bulky, but I regularly carry a suite of electronics (two iPods, Palm Pilot, digicam, etc) and a stack of books/folders wherever I go, so efficient compartment design was a must. I walk and ride the bus everywhere in the Seattle area, so durability and weight distribution were also key features. This bag has a spacious main compartment with padded pouch for laptop (bottom foam insert included), a secondary section for music player and other gadgets, a front pouch, as well as two side pouches for a camera, water bottle, etc. The weight distribution is so good that I frequently check to make sure everything is inside because it feels so light on my shoulders. And the orange liner makes it so easy to find things -- a great idea that could become the next fashion statement! My only criticism would be that the pouch is a little large for my extra-petite laptop and so it sometimes falls between the bottom rectangular foam insert and the pouch rather than sitting on top of it (making the pack sit a little awkwardly), but that is easily adjusted."

"A good backpack, if a little snug. My Dell Inspiron 2600 fits, but just barely. To the other reviewer who expressed concerns about the corners of the laptop not quite fitting: try readjusting the foam padding piece at the bottom of the laptop sleeve; this might give you another inch or so. Just doing that made the difference for me. To the reviewer who was concerned about the inside of the bag being orange: this was clearly stated in the product features description. I like that the lining is orange; items don't get "lost" so easily. Overall I am pleased with this bag. It has plenty of pockets and organizers. The headphone pass-through is a great feature. Another inch of storage in the main compartment would have been nice, but overall the Downloader works just fine."

"I searched tirelessly for a covert laptop bookbag that would A)Fit my laptop(13" x 10.25" x 1.25")safely, B)be large enough to fit my books et al, and C) Not be so huge as to make a 5 foot person, like myself, look like a hunchback. This bag is it! It has been comfortable to wear, and gets the job done, though not the sexiest bag in town. It should also be noted that the bag zips and layout are designed to be ambidextrous!"

"I first bought this bag over a year ago because the way it was made looked real sweet and the number of positive reviews couldn't have been ignored. On top of that, the bags that I'd find in stores were weak for laptops. The padding on the shoulder straps are great so you're comfortable even when the bag's load is at its max capacity. If you're wondering what the capacity is in practical measurements, it can fit in 3 IT books of about 700 pages each and still have place for some extra accessories or two IT book, one 15.4" laptop + accessories in the smaller pockets. But I was surprised about two weeks ago when a rip appeared near one of the shoulder straps. At first I thought this bag was invincible because it never felt like it was going to fail but because it has lifetime waranty, eBags quickly sent another one. Great laptop bag, great service."

"This is a really great backpack. I bought one for both of my sisters. My only complaints are first that the hand strap on the very top of the bag is only material. It would be nice to have a hard handle so that when I pick it up with one hand it is more sturdy. The other complaint is that the velcro strap that holds in the laptop got stripped within the first few months I had it. Otherwise, it is an excellent backpack. I travel internationally 6 times a year and travel domestic 12 times a year and I go back and forth to work every day. It gets alot of use. The water bottle holder is really big. It holds a 1.6L bottle just fine. Overall, it is the best backpack I have owned!"

"The laptop sleeve is plenty big unlike other backpacks I've looked at. I liked the pockets, compartments and storage options. The materials seem high quality, and there's plenty of room. On the down side, there could have been more padding around my laptop and against my back. I would have preferred a more substantial closure over the laptop sleeve- the single velcro strap seems less than secure. I found it uncomfortable to wear, unlike the original Samsonite Stash that I had to send back because my laptop didn't fit. I liked the other bag better, but this one will do just fine, and my laptop fits!"

"Overall the bag is functional. However, the quality needs improving. After using it for five days, the seams separated. It surprised me to see the bag break after carrying a 6 pound laptop, 10 pages of papers, and an extra battery. I would suggest using double stiching similar to North Face bags."

"I was looking for a conservatively styled backpack to replace my overloaded briefcase. After years of buying high-end briefcases at 5-10x the price of this backpack, I am quite pleased with the black on black downloader. It handles my full-size Dell Latitude (13"x11"x2"), charger, cables and PDA with ease. Plus, it's easier to use when travelling."

"There's nothing really wrong about this bag except that it's big. I purchased this to carry my laptop and school things around in one bag. It does a great job of holding all my stuff, but on my 5'4" frame, it simply looks goofy when I strap it on my back. Even with the straps as tight as I can make them, the bottom of the bag hits at well below my waist, which I find uncomfortable. I no longer use this bag much. I only pull it out when I've got a ton of stuff to haul around. *Note* My 6 ft tall husband finds the bag to be comfortably proportioned for him."
