"Really an excellent laptop backpack. I've had it for 6 months, using it several times a week for commuting to work - often using public transit - and it still looks like new. Pros: There are quite a few pockets for organizing items, which is great. The size is good - holds quite a bit, but not super bulky (I'm a petite female). Laptop compartment provides good protection (mine has survived several tumbles from seat-level). Cons: I wish the external 'key' pocket was easier to access (hard to get things in and out). The water bottle holder is okay but could definitely be improved. A strap at the waist would have been nice (the chest strap doesn't do much by itself)."

"The eTech Downloader 2.0 Laptop Backpack packs as much punch as its name implies. It has a slim profile that fits comfortably on my 5 foot 3 inch asian frame. I don't know if broader or significantly taller people would like how this pack sits on them. But for average to smaller people looking for a minimal design this is right on the money. First off the material is perfect for an everyday work/school tote. This pack comes in attractive colors and is of a sturdy material. I would be okay toting this in a light rain with all my tech inside. The pockets and organization are very intuitively placed. A+ for eBags on this note. There's space for all your edc (every day carry) items and laid out in a way that feels light as a feather. Overall I really love this pack and would gladly buy it again!"

"Several key points: 1) QUALITY - excellent 2) SIZE - perfect for my needs. You can wear it in crowds without knocking everyone down when you turn 3) ORGANIZATION - good. I did add a couple of "C" rings to allow me to attach small items to outside of the bag 4) WATER BOTTLE - OK, but not great. Too easy for the bottle to fall out. Should be deeper (zip higher?) OVERALL - I plan to use it for many years to come."

"Very sharp-looking bag. Nice looking bag if you want a backpack but don't want it to look like a large "college-kid" like backpack. I use it at work (50-year old IT manager) and it works great. Well-constructed with just the right number of pockets for laptop, cords, water bottle, notebooks, other stuff. Strong zippers. This bag is extremely well-designed, and functional, and looks good (especially for an older person who wants the convenience of a backpack but doesn't really want it to look like a large backpack)."

"This bag replaces a laptop bag that I used daily for 10 years until the seams ripped and I could no longer carry it around. I was reluctant to buy a new one, knowing I could never find something as perfect, but I was wrong! This bag is far better than my old one! It's a least half the weight, very compact and yet holds all of the parts and pieces of my daily work life in its various organizing compartments. I love the cup holder on the side that can be zipped up when not used, the bright orange interior color, and the sturdy and adjustable shoulder straps. This bag is awesome!"

"I had the predecessor to this bag and the inner pocket of main compartment got a tear in the bottom. I'd been so happy with it, I decided to get this updated version. While it is nearly identical to the one I have, there are a few differences: 1) No business card holder, but quite frankly after you'd removed a few cards, the rest would often slide out (it was positioned horizontally). A "vertically" mounted card holder might have been good, but using a card case and slipping it into a small pocket may actually be a better solution overall. 2) The key ring holder and a couple of pen holders have been moved to one of the outside side pockets. I don't like this as well as having the key holder in the "front" compartment - it just doesn't seem as handy. I also used that side pocket for my phone charger, etc. (quick and easy access for opportunistic charging) and having the key holder there mitigates that a bit (especially if I want to use the key holder). 3) This new version has a pocket on the front of the computer sleeve for a tablet/ultra book (my Samsung Chromebook fits too). That is a nice feature, but it would be really nice if it were slightly padded. 4) I would actually prefer more pockets. I am a bit of an organizer (like packing cubes, etc.). I don't know how much it would increase the cost of the bag, but why not have pockets covering virtually every square inch of internal "vertical walls"? It would provide better organization, keep things from piling up in the bottom of the bag and "balance" the load a little more (maybe). All in all (despite my nits), it's a great value for the money. I carried its predecessor for years (weekly travel) and it still looks new. I plan to use this one for years to come (unless they come out with a newer version incorporating some of my suggestions)."

"As someone who is constantly traveling, by plane, by car and even Amtrak, both for business and personal reasons, this eBag Laptop Backpack has won me over to the idea of traveling with a backpack. I have two other eBag laptop bags, and, while they are very durable with plenty of pockets and compartments, the Laptop Backpack takes the prize. It seems much easier to find things in the backpack, and, of course, carrying a backpack onto an airplane, while pulling an eBag rolling duffel, is so much easier than juggling a shoulder bag. Love it."

"At least to my eye the eTech 2.0 is better looking, better made and most important more comfortable than the big five or so of daypack/backpack fame. I've found that there seems to be a trend in shoulder straps that everyone is following that I find extremely uncomfortable. This eBags backpack delivers the comfort without the bulkiness and restrictions in motion of alternative bags. Finally, there is something about the rectangular shape that really sets it apart and it gives it a great look."

"It is as great as I expected! The backpack looks flat and compact, but holds so much! I usually used Weekender Convertible for travelling , but this time I tried Downloader - it's amazing, I could fit stuff almost for a week inside (of course with some help from Ebags packing aids)! To be honest, I am not much of a carry-laptop-around person, but guess what - the laptop compartment is also perfect for a sweater, a summer jacket or a pair of pants:)"

"Very well-designed laptop backpack. Holds a lot. Love the exterior drink pocket because it holds my commuter coffee cup. I have a 1.5 mile walk as part of my commute and it is very comfortable. I wish it came in a business-y color besides black. How about grey?"
