"Used my new Indigo eBag for a 3 day vacation in NYC last weekend. I specifically wanted a convertible style because I always feel like a hobo walking through a hotel lobby with a backpack. I prefer to walk rather than to take cabs, though, so the backpack straps come in handy sometimes. Size was just right for 3 days worth of clothes and necessities. Only problem was that heavier items make their way to the bottom. I have a habit of carrying both iPad and Surface Pro, and I haven't yet figured out where best to stow them. The bag could use some rigidity to make carrying it "suitcase-style" easier (maybe a semi-stiff internal dividing rib?). Could also use least one tablet sized pocket in the main compartment."

"I bought an earlier model of this bag in 2006 -- I still own it, and it's still in excellent shape. I have owned similar bags that have died or fallen apart in the intervening years, including a much more expensive Patagonia bag. I have never needed to do any maintenance on this bag and it still looks fantastic. I bought this before I left for the Peace Corps, and I used it for years in West Africa, where it was tossed around on dirt roads, strapped to the top of taxis, and generally mistreated. Today, seven years later, it's still trucking. The quality of this bag cannot be beat. I cannot recommend this bag highly enough."

"I recently decided to give "one bag travel" a try. I am sure hauling around a 14 lb (empty) professional pilot bag for years has contributed to my bad shoulder. After checking out the Wingman, Patagonia MLC, Caribe Sky Master 40 and the Tom Bihn Aeronaut, I was sold on the Etech 2.0 Weekender. I could not overlook the value received with this bag. The quality is excellent and the organizational features are outstanding. The bag has a business travel like look unlike many of the alternatives. My concerns about the lack of a laptop pocket were resolved when I realized that the front pocket was big enough for my chromebook packed in a sleeve. I just have one real gripe with the bag, and that is it's lack of a shoulder strap. I really do not understand why this was omitted. In spite of this, the other features outweighed this one fault. I will probably just use one of the backpack straps and wear it as a sling . Time will tell how durable this bag is. From what I can see at this early stage it is well constructed. An Aeronaut it is not, but then again it is not $250.00."

"This bag is great. I usually don't like backpacks because I'm petite and they usually hurt my back, but this bag is comfortable even when it's completely full. It's easy to get on and off planes with this. I love it."

"Working for the airline I had my share of carrying and rolling bags, saw the weekender and thought I would give it a shot since many reviews were positive.Upon receiving in mail, thought I made a wrong decision when looking at the size. Let me tell you looks are truly deceiving once I start packing could not believe the amount of space it allowed you!Had to actually remove items cause I was really over doing it:) Comfort level A+ light and not restricting and best of all hands free which really is my new way of traveling . The only con which I do have is being hands free my wife had me carry her luggage. Will truly buy her one next sale."

"Finally got to use this bag. I only wanted to bring carry on. It not only holds an amazing amount, but it was comfortable even when loaded up. I am over 50 years old, and under 5 feet tall so this was a big plus for me. Worked better than the camping back pack I've used in the past."

"I have tried a variety of carry ons over the years of all types (backpacks, wheeled, soft bags, hybrids) and always found there was something - weight of the bag or space taken up for handle limiting what I could carry, or strain on back carrying the soft carry ons - but the eTech has none of these issues. Over the last year it has been used by my children for many sleepovers, and as a carry on for interstate and overseas trips, including one involving 9 different hotels and so a lot of packing and unpacking. On all trips I was travelling alone with children, and so generally carrying the eTech, another carryon and a handbag through airports, up and down steps of planes etc. The adjustable straps and chest strap mean that even full it can be carried with ease (which has made it a lot easier to carry multiple bags) and on several occasions I have actually 'lost track of' the bag in airports momentarily before realising it was on my back...so very easy and comfortable to carry. I love the way it opens to pack like a suitcase (as opposed to other soft carry ons) and that the shape allows maximum use of space - it really does seem to take a lot, even when fitting within Australian domestic carry on limits (this bag is precisely the maximum dimensions allowed on Australian airlines). Makes it very easy to keep items in the bag rather than fully unpacking for overnighters, and to fit packing cubes etc. The side pocket organisation is very well thought out and useful. As another reviewer mentioned, the only drawback is the lack of a shoulder strap, although there are only rare occasions when I miss this, and even then only as a result of travelling with children and sometimes needing to manage multiple bags. For the children though, the backpack setup is ideal as similar to carrying a schoolbag. Absolutely love this bag, and have now ordered two more for upcoming trips-highly recommended, especially for those who dislike checking baggage."

"I purchased this bag initially for a 12-day trip to Italy in the spring of 2013. I had read about the virtues of 'one-bag' travelling and the back-straps with this bag were really intriguing. It worked fantastic! I now use it for all my vacation travel foregoing the clunky wheeled models for this efficient, well thought out alternative. I love it!"

"I use this as my carry-on when traveling internationally. I do not carry a purse or bring my brief case to save space, just keep everything stored in this bag including personal items for the long flight, Ipad, extra change of clothes, etc. I love that it store so many things in different compartments and still light enough to use on your back to free up your hands to pull your other piece of luggage once arriving at your destination. My daughter is going to borrow it for backpacking through Europe this Spring."

"I purchased this bag in early 2012 for airline travel and have used it in the past year to travel to Michigan, Hawaii and California. I read the reviews carefully prior to purchasing to make sure the bag would not be too large or small for my size and needs. I am 5 ft 3 inches and I am able to carry this pack fully loaded for 2 weeks of travel. I am very happy with this purchase."

"I own the Motherlode Weekender Convertible (3 of them) and definitely prefer it over this one. I have used the Motherlode for multiweek international trips, when I only want to bring a carry-on, and it is perfect. Super roomy, but compressible. I bought this one for simpler, easier, trips, when I don't need the same kind of sophisticated organization. However, I find I really like the Motherlode's expansion capabilities and main compartment divider, over the basic one-big-compartment of this one. This will end up being used mainly I think for car trips, when I need a soft-sided bag, but don't need to roll it through airports."
