"I didn't want to rate this item until I had used it on several trips, I bought two of them because I travel alot for work and I have to travel heavy (usually right at 50 pounds per bag). So far they have held up great. They do show a few dings and scratches from the baggage handlers, but that's much better than my last hardside which lasted only a few trips. I do agree with the person who said that the zipper was more of a softside type, but it's not a big deal. I was used to the clamshell type opening from previous bags so it wasn't a big deal to me, but I can see how it could cause some problems in certain circumstances. Overall I don't think you can beat the quality for anything less than double the price, if not more than that. I would definitely buy this bag again, and I highly recommend it to everyone who asks me about it during my travels. My only disappointment was the fact that they were only available in black when I needed them, the brighter colors would make airport identification much easier."

"I had a problem with the bag after 2 months, stuck out of state, in a hotel with a broken bag. BUT let me tell you, the bag is a very good bag; but no matter how good a bag is, NONE are Airline proof. So despite being well built, nice color, working well, packs easily, it developed a problem. I called EBAGS and to my astonishment they sent me a new bag, with free second day shipping, so I could be back on the road. This level of customer service CANNOT be beat. I am totally convinced, forget the price point; Ebags makes some of the nicest, most thoughtful products in the industry. And they will stand behind their products and not make it difficult for you to receive warranty service. They will come to you! I am totally convinced you can purchase an EBAGS bag, with complete confidence, and a company who backs up what they sell, and want you to be happy with their products; happy with their company. Nicky in customer service was the nicest, most patient rep; and reminded me of the Christmas Movie, Miracle on 34th st. we will take care of you, no matter what we need to do! Ebags Customer Service is unheard of and rarely matched! A worldwide standard of excellence! My review: I travel weekly by air 48 weeks out of 52 for 11 years. I have tried some of the lesser brands, and more of the top tier brands of bags. They all have problems, and recently my over $500. 24 inch hard side bag had to have 4 repairs, all over a 21 month time span, So I bought this bag while stranded with a broken expensive bag and said how could I go wrong. Well I have loved the bag from EBAGS this bag. The handle is a full double, and allows a brief case to slip over it. On the inside it is not an 2 equal halves, but one larger with tie downs, and one with a mesh cover. This allows more flexible packing, running shoes bigger sticking up on that side doesn't interfere with closing. Go EBAGS! The Best!"

"My first bag was a wonder for travel throughout Japan where I hauled it myself on/off trains almost daily. It is so easy to roll, never was unmanageable, and provided a secure lock when in transit or when left in my room. On the trip it sustained a crack so on return to the US I complained to eBags and they immediately - and I mean IMMEDIATELY - sent me a replacement. I not only recommend the bag but I also recommend eBags. I'll happily deal with them again!"

"We're eBag fans, heavy travelers, and enjoy criticizing bad luggage. This is one of seven eBag suitcase or briefcases we have. My wife and I both use the 24" EXO when, for reason of either too much stuff or airplane convenience, we want to check a bag. We are very pleased with it, as it holds a great deal but isn't heavy to handle around the airport or in and out of cabs, etc. The construction is first quality and it really seems to take an absolute beating and still look new. The handle and wheels operate well and seem like they'll last a long time. I'm a definite fan of the tight mesh divider that zips across one of the two sides. Also glad that we chose the (NC State) red color, which I thought it might be garishishly bright, but it actually just comes across as classy and cheerful. And it's a huge plus to have it stand out and be identifiable coming out of the chute. We like it enough to have bought the smaller one, as well. I'd recommend the packing cubes for all travel - but for the EXO bags in particular, because it they have little internal organization."

"I'm sold on spinners! I wasn't sure before but I am now. Pros: Moves great, adjustable and strong handles, internal division into three sections, exerior, looks, TSA lock Cons: Zippers. I know there is a life time warrantly but who wants to deal with a return. Move them slowly and deliberately and they should be fine but. . . . Wish it had at least one small interior pocket. TSA lock is kind of a pain to use. SInce it is two sections it requires more room to open up and it is difficult to move once open unless you zipp everything up. One more con: Useable size. I have been using a bag with similar exterior demensions and it seems to have more interior space. Nothing scientific but fully packed it can get to 50 lbs. I doubt I could get more than 35 lbs in this one with the same basic contents. In summary: Mostly positives. Wish it had something other than a zipper as a primary means of closure. I'd might have upsized too but that's one problem buying on line. I'll likely buy a carry on size too."

"Easy to spot at baggage claim. Wheels are better than expected. Worked even on cobblestone. Just did England, Scotland, and Ireland with no problems. We thought it might be too small but it worked fine for us. Very easy to handle and carry around. So far very minor marks on outside but no structural damage of any kind. We got this and the larger Airline legal Samsonite. Tried this smaller 24" ebag and may never use the larger bag. If you move or heft your own bag, travel by car or train, this bag will make your life easier. We loved it."

"Excellent! Hard sides yet lightweight. Love that you can keep clothing separate in the top and bottom. The lock on the side, attached to the suitcase, is perfect as I've had problems, in the past, with my lock getting caught and ripping the zipper. Highly recommend this bag!"

"I travel often for work. Fifty percent of my travel is to/from Europe. I purchased the Ebag Hardside on July 28th. Since then, I've just returned from a trip to Belgium and Finland. The luggage met my expectations. It rolled well across across all surfaces I encountered. I could pack more, than I was packing in the previous luggage I was using. Speaking of my previous luggage, it wore out in an year of what I'd consider heavy travel. The handle broke while I was in Europe, along with the seams ripping, it would also pickup odors from the aircraft. The Ebags Hardside, had no odors. I'll try and remember to update this thread after many more traveling miles. As os now, I would highly recommend this luggage."

"One airline travel trip so far, and I am in LOVE with this bag! I was hesistant to order luggage online, since I've purchased bags in brick and mortar retail stores and they didn't live up to their expectations. When I first received the bag, I didn't think I would be able to fit much in it, but I was SO wrong. I traveled for a week-long trip to Las Vegas from Boston and packed 4 pairs of pants, 12 shirts (seriously!), a pair of shorts, a skirt, 2 swimsuits, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 pair of pajamas, socks and underwear for a week and all my personal "health and beauty" junk. I even had a couple of books in there and it all fit perfectly. I purchased the EXO spinner along with a set of packing cubes and it was so easy fitting everything in the bag and unpacking at my destination. TOTAL organization! Best of all, even with all my stuff in there, the bag weighed less than 30 pounds and it was incredibly easy to maneuver. The TSA lock was an added plus. My biggest worry was that the bag was going to get trashed enroute, but there were no signs of wear on the exterior finish and/or on the wheels after my roundtrip journey. This is truly the best bag I've ever owned!"

"I live abroad so when I travel, it's for a very long distance. I also need to spend 2 hours on multiple forms of transportation to get to the airport. Since I got this suitcase, I have been able to save money by avoiding luggage delivery (which we do have) most of the time...normally I take a taxi, a subway, and an airport bus, so that's quite a feat! This suitcase is so easy to handle, I can skip the taxi and take a public bus if I want! I can manage this bag, the carry on that matches it, and a very large "purse/personal item". The suitcase stands up to baggage handlers, is easy to push and pull when full, does not get off balance when full (as many of this type do), and has an adequately long handle. A 4 wheeler is a must in Asia's crowded cities! It will weigh in at 50 lbs. when packed solidly, completely full...which means it's compact. Since I am allowed 2 suitcases over here, I am going to get another one...I realized I can actually roll the 24" case and the carry on with one hand...which leaves my other hand free for the other one! This bag is a very good value...MOst people in Asia use this type of suitcase...similar bags cost $300-$400 dollars and are heavier and harder to manage...and sometimes don't stand up to the baggage handlers."
