Product Features

  • U-shaped double zip opening for easy loading. Opening measures approximately 11.5” x 14”
  • Zippered mesh pocket under the front panel measures 11” x 14”
  • Fold-up wire-framed wings apply support to the feet section, allowing the duffel to stand upright even when fully loaded, as well as adding definition to the upper section. Fold the wings down when storage space is an issue
  • Two interior tie-tapes have extra webbing length for easier adjustments. Upper compartment measures 4” deep
  • Forehead pocket provides easy access to a large volume pocket. Perfect for your 3-1-1 liquids bag at Security. The lining floats, allowing you to choose how much of the pocket to use
  • A built-in ID pocket can be accessed from inside the upper compartment – there’s no chance of losing a luggage tag in travel
  • Classic duffel handle is secured to the front panel – there’s even enough room to grab with gloves on
  • Lower compartment measures 20” x 14” x 4.5” and has the following features:
  •    Padded perimeter walls that allow oddly shaped items some flexibility when packing
  •    One moveable shelf that allows you to pack as if it were a bookcase - preventing everything from schlumping toward the wheels
  •    One zippered mesh pocket on the inside lid of the lower compartment. 13” x 19”
  • Convert the upper & lower section into one large compartment by unzipping the inside lid. Roll it toward the bottom and secure the two straps. Now you have one compartment measuring 20” x 14” x 8.5”
  • Grab handles on both ends allow two-handed trunk-style lifting into vehicles. The top handle is spring-loaded. The bottom handle doubles as a foot
  • Telescoping trolley handle adjusts from 46” (tallest in the industry) to 43” to 41” – no more heal kicking
  • Trapezoid shaped trolley handle tubes are perpendicular to the load plane, providing maximum support
  • Skid rails along the bottom combine with a wrap-around skid plate for added abrasion protection
  • Well protected wheels are hot-poured Polyurethane – the quietest wheels you won’t hear in the concourse
  • Interior is fully lined with our signature orange nylon lining – finding fiddly-bits in the corners has never been easier
  • YKK RC zippers throughout. Lockable on all exterior compartments
  • ***Correction*** This wheeled duffel does not come with photo-reflective zipper cords despite the features listed on the hangtag. They were removed due to zipper slider smoothness issues

"I bought the eTech 2.0 Motherlode 21" wheeled duffle, the eTech weekender convertible, and the eTech macroloader Laptop Backpack over one year ago--am a "senior" woman with mild mobility issues who travels primarily for business in US/Canada; yet HATES to check baggage. I bought this combination hoping it would allow me to pack papers, 15" computer, business clothes etc. in carry-ons for trips up to 10 days; yet be manageable for energy-efficient travel in airports and light enough for me to lift into the overhead bin by myself. These have surpassed all expectations, The rolling duffel easily fits into all US overhead bins. Depending on length of trip, one of the backpacks serves as my personal item, easily fit under the seat. These bags have even allowed me to pack, organize, and carry-on everything needed for 30 day trip (and am not a for light packer). Organization "perks" for these bags allow living out of suitcase without confusion. After 1 year of consistent use, all pieces look like new and work as well as the day they arrive. My only regret is that I did not purchase sooner."

"This 21" eBag and the eBags customer service is one of a kind! I had this eBag for years and traveled to many states and countries with it. I loved it so much I got one for my husband and convinced my sister to also get one for her travels. I have always counted on this perfect bag and never had any problems with it--until last August (2013), when my husband and I traveled to our 50th state, Alaska. When we arrived at the Anchorage Sheraton on our first night, my eBag handle got stuck in the down position and would not pull up. Oh no, this was our first night on our 12 day trip. My husband and I tried to get it to pull up, but no luck. So, I took off my leather belt and looped it through the handle and was prepared to pull my luggage through Alaska for the next 12 days, in and out of 7 hotels and a number of planes, trains, cars and boats. Oh well, it's not the end of the world, but a bit inconvenient. Then I remembered the eBags Satisfaction Guarantee. I really didn't expect they could help me, but what did I have to lose? A day later, I called and spoke to a helpful rep who listened to my problem, looked up my account, and although she could not ship a new bag to my next destination, she could ship a replacement to me in two days. She said she would follow the order and make sure it got to my next Anchorage Alaska location, via Second Day Air. "No problem, your complete satisfaction is top priority!" she said. I said, "WOW!" The best part is that when we arrived two days later at our Anchorage hotel, my new eBag was there, waiting for me. Again--WOW! My husband and I switched out the old for the new and we continued on our trip with perfectly new luggage. We left the other bag at the hotel with a note "FREE to a good home. TLC needed on my handle, but I work great otherwise". I trust that it found a good home and someone is enjoying it as is or found a way to fix it. We tell everyone our real-life story and are loyal EBAG customers for life! Thank you eBags!"

"I love this bag and feel it is the perfect carry-on. As with most eBags products, the initial impression is that it is small, but once you start filling it up, you realize just how much it holds. If you like to use cubes, this bag fits perfectly with the medium and slim cubes. I initially wanted a spinner but realized that I would lose too much space to the wheels, which are usually 2-3 inches long. Most spinners are too big for the new airline carry-on restrictions of 22" x 14" x 9". The dimensions of the bag itself may meet the restrictions but when you add in the wheels and handles, they are inches too long. However, this bag meets these dimensions exactly from the bottom of the wheels to the top of the handle, from side to side, and in the depth. I thought, like one reviewer, that the tie-down straps were upside-down, but soon realized they are not. The bag has a zipped divider between the top and bottom compartments. The tie-downs are for the top compartment, not the bottom. I assume it was designed this way so that the top can be tightened down to keep it from exceeding the travel restrictions when slightly over packed. However, it would be nice to have a second set in the bottom compartment. The wheels are very quiet. You won't hear the clacking you normally hear from other bags while wheeling through the airport. It is also very stable when standing. For the reviewers who say this bag is too small, I just want to remind you that this bag is a carry-on; therefore, it was designed to meet the carry-on restrictions. You just need to decide which is more important, being able to carry-on or having more room and checking the bag. The airlines are cracking down and if your bag is bigger than this one, you run the risk of being forced to check it. This bag was designed to meet U.S. airline standards and could be too big for some international flights or carriers."
