"Goldilocks, like me, probably found some travel purses too little, some too big, and some just right! I have two eBag purses that I like very much, but they were not the perfect size for travel. I have just returned from my first 3-week trip with the Villa Cross Body purse, and I think this purchase is Just Right. The purse is very slim and fits snugly against the body. The sleek strap is adjustable and did not irritate my neck (unlike my other two eBag purses.) The large outer compartment holds a Kindle or travel notebook very nicely. The outer two compartments on the other side held my small wallet in one, cell phone in another; I kept that side against my body. The central compartment held my digital camera in a protected pocket, with ample room in the center section for a compact umbrella, small water bottle, & cosmetics case, sunglasses, tissues, etc. There also is a zippered section in the center section to hold items such as a passport, credit cards, etc. The purse itself is very lightweight, and the eggplant color is a knock out! I have traveled all over the globe for over 15 years using mostly Baggalinis, but this eBag travel purse has moved to my "Just Right" rating and I look forward to other trips with it. (If it had a built-in wallet section, it would be my every-day purse, too.) Thank you, eBags, for another great item!"

"Excellent bag for the price. I ordered this bag along with 2 Baggallini bags that were similar. This bag is slightly smaller which is a positive. I like the pocket on the back side that has a zipper. Because the pocket has a zipper, it will hold my passport and boarding pass safely. Contrasting lining makes items easy to find. For the price, I don't think you will find a better bag. I have had excellent experiences with all the eBags - excellent workmanship and very practical. I am thinking about buying another one."

"Nice purse but lacking in ability to take advantage of all the features. Thickness is the issue. No gusset to expand when items are placed in the bag, cannot utilize the inside features. Purse gets 'too fat' to close after a wallet or makeup pouch placed in it. Lots of pockets but if you try to use them then purse is unmanageable."

"I love it! I had been looking for a travel purse for my trip to Italy for quite some time, but hadn't been able to find anything I liked. This is perfect because, as one user commented, "It does not scream TOURIST," but it still has lots of safe zipper pockets and room for all of my stuff. The felt-lined pockets are wondeful for my phone and camera. Thank you!"

"I have had this bag for about a month or so and I have to say that I am really pleased with it. It has loads of pockets inside and out which is handy to store just about anything you need. The main pocked is large enough to hold my hair ties, keys, phone and any additional paraphernalia that I may need that day. The bag is big enough to be useful but not so large to be obnoxious and cause back pain (for those ladies who carry bags bigger than they are: How do you do it? You might as well drag a suit case with you everywhere!). I have the bag in "eggplant" but it's really a beautiful purple that, because of the way the material is weaved, looks almost iridescent - very pretty! I also love the soft, adjustable shoulder strap. You can either shorten it so you can carry it as a hand bag or you can lengthen it so you can carry it as a shoulder bag which is how I wear it most of the time (over my head and shoulder, crossing my body). The last thing I REALLY like is the 360 degree swivel on the shoulder strap clips... it keeps the strap from getting twisted and looking worn. I am considering getting the exact same bag in the orange and tan colors because I just love this one so much. A resounding YES! I RECOMMEND!"

"I love this bag. My only quibble is with the strap. It is basically a supersized ribbon and way too light for a strap - it is always twisting on me and ending up with creases. Plus it doesn't look that great to be wearing a bag with a twisted strap. I wish it were a bit thicker or reinforced periodically - anything that would obviate the twisting without adding too much weight. Other than that, this bag is great. I can carry everything I want and in daily use I don't even use all the sections. And the pocket on the back is great for my Kindle. I will definitely buy another one of these or something similar - I love the fabric."

"I only use across the body bags but needed one that would hold my new e-reader and I thought the back pocket on this bag would be the perfect solution. All the compartments and pockets are wonderful - while empty. The problem is that once you put things in the pockets, it is impossible to even get your hand into the bag to get anything out. If they had only made some gussets in the various areas it would maybe be usable. I read about this problem in another review but since I don't carry much in my purse, I did not think I would have the same problem. The bag is only 2 inches wide. If you put items into the bottom section of the large compartment and then add anything into the pockets, you can not get your hand into the bottom of the bag to take out items. There are 2 zipper compartments on the front of the purse and it is the same situation. Once you add something to these pockets, the bag is even more inaccessible. I will be returning both bags that I bought. I am very disappointed."

"I bought this because my iPad fits in it and I was going to use it along with my tote for travel but I've been using it everyday. It's not so big that I weight it down and end up with a sore shoulder. I love a cross body for shopping. My husband said if I got the taupe he would use it for the iPad also."

"I was using the eBags Piazza Day Bag, which I loved for its organization but didn't care for its utilitarian appearance. Plus it seemed just a little too small for an everyday handbag. The Villa Cross Body bag has a sleeker, more modern shape and improvements like a better looking strap (it's still webbing, though, but is nicer looking and quite long and swivels). The key holder has been moved to the main compartment, and almost all of the cheesy zipper pulls have been replaced with larger metal zippers. There don't seem to be as many pockets, but this bag still has plenty. The pen pocket doesn't help me because it doesn't stretch and isn't large enough to fit my oversized Rotring Core ballpoint. The Villa bag is taller than the Piazza but not as deep. Consequently, in the main compartment the items I carry are stacked on top of each other: a couple of rolled-up Envirosax bags at the bottom, then my wallet, then my eyeglass case on top of that. My wallet measures 4 x 7.5 inches and is 1 inch deep, and it just fits. Because the Villa bag is only 2 inches deep, it doesn't stand up by itself so it's always falling over unless I find a place to hang it when I take it off my shoulder. In spite of these quibbles, I'm sticking with the Villa (instead of going back to the Piazza) for a casual everyday handbag because I prefer its more refined features and slimmer profile, and bought a second one in a lighter color for summer. A bunch of expensive leather tote handbags are now languishing in my closet thanks to eBags."

"Love this purse. I also purchased the Piazza bag by eBags, and based on appearance, material of purse, placement of key clip, and strap I prefer this one. (I have not used the Piazza yet). The sections and different zippered compartments allow me to stay organized and find my items with ease. I am able to pack the purse with an amazing amount of items with out the purse appearing bulky (full size wallet, day planner/calender, makeup, pen, cellphone, small note book, keys, compact hairspray and hand sanitizer, coupons, keys, sunglasses, eye glass case, snack bar). I like that it has a felt lined pocket for your glasses. I purchased the brown, (a nice rich color) which has a pretty blue lining (enjoy the contrast). The strap is comfortable (it doesn't cut into the neck)and adjusts well for across body or shoulder. I would purchase again for gifts and other colors."
