"Awesome bag. Used it for a 3.5 day weekend in NY/NJ. Weather was kind of iffy (cold with a good chance of rain) by the time flight time rolled around so I had to pack some warmer clothing. Used the ebags packing cubes to pack my stuff and they worked like a charm. Not only was I able to pack for the equivalent of close to a week but I was also able to fit the souveniers and gifts I bought in NY and NJ into the backpack. Best part is that this bag, which was packed pretty much to capacity, fit comfortably under the seat in front of me on my flights to/from NJ which was very convenient since the flight was packed and there was no room in the overhead compartments. GREAT BAG....would HIGHLY recommend."

"For a professional review of this item, I recommend you search the internet for the John Flinn review at sfgate.com. From my perspective: overall, it’s a sturdy inexpensive bag for carrying 20 lbs or less in backpack mode. I like the hideaway straps and organizing compartments. Comfortable backpack straps. Removable waist belt helps carry heavier loads. I usually carry it with just one backpack strap. Compression straps inside and outside. I like the way the lid opens like a normal suitcase. Note the main compartment is about 5” deep and can hold two layers of eBags packing cubes. A single Large eBags packing cube pretty much fills a whole layer and two side-by-side Medium eBags cubes can fill another layer. The interior mesh compartment in the lid is more like 20" x 12" x 1.5" (not 22" x 14" x 1.5"). Outer compartment is more like 20" x 12" x1.5" (not 22" x 13" x 2"). Every bag comes with a high-visibility orange interior."

"Great carryon bag. The cinch straps allow you to pack a lot of clothes in a small space. Great bag for getting in and out of busy airports when you are not checking luguage. Travel light, planes, trains, taxis, subways, no problem."

"I used the Weekender backpack for a 9 day auto trip last week preparatory to a 3 week European venture and found it very well organized and plenty spacious. I was amazed at the amount of soft items it will hold. I look forward to using it in Europe on and off trains, etc. So far, I have nothing but praise for the Weekender."

"I bought this for maximum carry on on business and personal travel. I can pack enough for 3-4 days of business apparel (sport coat, dress pants, shirts and tie) along with a set of casual clothes and sundries (toiletries, underwear etc)if I wear a sports coat. I recently completed a 7 day business trip (3 days in meetings, 2 days travel. 2 days free weekend) over to Europe over a weekend with this backpack and it worked out great. I did do one wash over the weekend but could have just survived without if I had packed an extra shirt and underwear and socks (there was room). Havent packed for personal travel yet but expect to get 5-7 days of clothes based on experience with business travel. Build quality - well made and thought out. Design - excellent, maximizes carry on volume. Comfort - very comfortable in backpack mode"

"Here are my initial impressions. I just received my new weekender convertible three days after placing my order. Ordering was simple and secure, email confirmation of shipping is sent, and it is easy to track your package. The bag itself exceeds expectations. I chose the burnt copper for recognizability and it looks great. Ideal carryon dimensions, excellent interior organization, durable materials, quality hardware (zippers) and sturdy construction. Backpack features include padded shoulder straps and sternum and waist straps. High quality travel gear at an extremely reasonable price. If you found this review helpful, please indicate so."

"This bag has plenty of room to take more than a few days clothing and gear. Fits easily in overhead storage on airline and offers lots of options for carrying/loading. We liked this bag so much we bought a second one."

"Convertible? Definitely! Weekender? An understatement. I just prepacked for a 2 1/2 month trip to Thailand next week. No problem fitting everything I'll need. Of course I'm going to a tropical climate and will stay at a beach town. Thus no sweaters or warm jackers nor dressy clothes. But truly I've become an advocate of the carry-it-on-or-lose-it philosophy. In October I flew to Hanoi, arriving late at night after 30 hours flying time. I say "I arrived." My checked luggage was still at Washington Dulles. Who needs this kind of hassle? That's not the first time that's happened to me and I think we're going to see more and more cases of lost or delayed luggage. So I'm going to carry it on or leave it behind. And this bag is the way to go. Light, roomy, attractive, durable, an incredible bargain. I wish I had bought it years ago."

"This is the first item I have returned to ebags. I like their products. This item was not the right size. It is slightly smaller than similar bags from other manufacturers. In a carry on size, you want to maximize your space and this bad just wasn't flexible enough. I returned it using the convenient ebags return system though. That worked well."
