"This suitcase meets my criteria for a good piece of luggage. For the past 12 years, I have flown ~100,000 miles a year. When I purchase luggage I look for something that I believe will last at 400,000 to 500,000 miles. I look for (a) quality materials, stitching and design, (b) the ease of moving through airports, in and out of vehicles, etc. and (c) organization of the packing area. For frequent travel, you can learn to adapt how you pack your kit but a suitcase must not fall apart and cannot drive you crazy with wobbly wheels or bad balance. This suitcase meets my criteria. One interesting thing about its organization is that the suitcase opens about 40 packing space on the top 60 on the bottom like an open face sandwich with more piled up on the bottom side of sandwich than the top. It is a rather ingenious design. The hanging bag or clothes can be neatly tucked into that zippered compartment. The benefit of this compared to some other designs is (a) you don't have to reposition the suitcase to access the main and hanging compartments and (b) your clothes have a place to be neatly tucked away from items like your shoes that go into the main compartment. You do have to work around the fact that the corners will have to be tucked but once in, your clothes are well protected and subject to less wrinkling than most methods. Here I offer my personal opinion of how the Intensity line compares to other luggage I have owned. Another person's experiences may be different. I would rank the luggage above the top end TravelPro. I was gifted with a Hartmann belting leather case which sturdier but is also far more expensive and heavier. I traveled for over 10 years Andiamo luggage which had a tighter feel to it that I liked. However, the company no longer exists. With Hartmann, after more than 100 years in business, there is some assurance that you will have assistance if you need."
