"I bought two of these packs, one for my mom and one for me. The purchase was for us to use on a walking trip in England. We have had a good experience. We used the packs as our pieces of carry on luggage on the flight to the UK and additionally we used them on the walking paths. The positives were: the packs seem durable and served their intended purposes well, one of us used the hydration bag (purchased separately) and one used one of the mesh side pockets to hold a one liter bottle of water. The bladder type hydration bag was definitely the best way to go. The packs were definitely larger than necessary. We each carried water, a packed lunch, small first aid kit, rain jacket, rain pants and digital slr camera and those items used only about 70 of the pack capacity. Negatives were: when the waist strap was cinched tightly the arm adjustment straps seemed to loosen and require fairly frequent adjustment to cinch them tightly...not a big deal. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, the zippers have nice flaps which would help contents stay dry in the rain but it also makes it difficult to quickly zip the compartments because it is necessary to pull the seam/flap away from the zipper so that it doesn't get stuck. Overall I think thiss is a very good pack that I would rate as a 9 on a 1-10 scale."

"I bought this for my husband for hiking and carrying his bar supplies and liquor/spirits and he said this bag is very comfortable and fantastic as taking the weight off his body. He loves it and is excited to use it on our future hikes."

"I bought this for my 25yr old son so I asked him what he thought about it. He has used it everyday since I gave it to him. He is a big guy, 6 3", so this is his everyday back pack, for books, iPad, lunch and extra items he likes to have close by. He loves it!....tells me often that I made a great choice."

"Excellent! Spacious & comfortable. I hike 4-6 miles 3-4 days a week and it is perfect. Doesn't cause me to sweat. Large water holders on the sides. I really like it!"

"Really nice pack. Roomy in the main compartment w/ a separate sleeve for a hydration pack. Nice little zip pocket in the main compartment for an iPod. Smaller compartment is spacious enough but lacks organizations. Not really a problem when you're just throwing a bunch of granola bars and basic items in there, but if you're using the pack for travel and want to separate your toiletries, for instance, it's a bit of a nuisance. Straps are very comfortable, and the chest support/waist support snaps are excellent - comfortable and extremely useful when you're tired of letting your back alone carry the load. Overall a very nice pack at a very competitive price. Recommended."

"This is a very well made backpack. I bought this to replace a North Face that has traveled the world. This one is a little larger than my NF. Very comfortable. Enough pockets but not too many. Good zippers. I wish the side straps had clips for easy open and closure. My only "complaint". I would definitely recommend this. Only time will tell how it will hold up but initial opinion is high."

"Good overall value. Good use a small out pocket or two for smaller items."
