"This item was used over a 2month backpacking holiday through S. America. Overall it is smaller than other backpacks but this is a positive because it really prevents you from overpacking. As a result it is a very comfortable and light pack to carry. The only negative I would point out is that it doesn't have a lot of little compartments inside or on the sides to store things and if you need that you're better off with another type of pack. However, it does have a waterproof fly cover which stores compactly on the bottom side of the pack and the top part features a handy, always-accesible pouch in which to place frequent use items. This is an excellent pack and I highly recommend it!"

"Usually use this bag for Mission trips or overseas vacation. It is light and comfortable to fit items for short trips and easy to manage so that both hands are free to attend to other things without having to keep an eye on the bags at all times!"

"Great pack at an even greater price, since I purchased it on sale. Tons of space for weekend trips and day hikes. No problems or issues whatsoever. I'd certainly buy another pack from High Sierra."

"This is an attractive item that is a little on the small size but acceptable for a very large day pack or a small youth pack. This would not work well for much back country hiking. The biggest problem that I have with this pack is quality. The main right shoulder strap was not stitched properly at the connection between the strap buckle and the shoulder pad. Once the pack was half loaded for its first use the buckle came off and rendered the pack useless at the start of our first hike. Never even got to see trail dust and ruining the trip for my new young Boy Scout on our family vacation. He so wanted to use his birthday gift during our hikes at Yellowstone."

"I just love High Sierra. This is my second bag and twice now I have been suprised at the value you get. I can't believe they offer such a high quality bag with great features for such a great price. Nothing is made cheap on it, they do not cut corners... they want you to be happy with your purchase and they have you in mind when making their bags. Comfort, quality, and style... nothing gets shorted."

"The only negative I, and it is not a negative more of a personal preference is that the back of the zippered pouch that covers the main compartment was sewn to the pack. I carry my course books in it (about 60 lbs) and walk about 3 miles a day in it. It places the load where it needs to be and have yet to have neck, shoulder or back pain while wearing it."

"Great bag for its value -- I use it for travel and hiking. Great first-mountaineering-bag. Will probably upgrade to a larger size for longer trips. Overall, very pleased."
