"The back has enough room for three very thick text books. The middle area can only fit about two spiral notebooks with three subjects each. The front zipper holds all your pens, pencils and other small bits with room for something a bit thicker like a graphing calculator. I love the pouch up top that fits both my sunglasses and a large bottle of asprin. The second pouch on top fits a cellphone easily. I carry my waterbottle in one of the side pouches and there are some straps on the bottom which could hold a yoga mat or something similar. It has been very sturdy so far... I have had it for four months."
