"The bag is roomy, well organized, and offers many compartments that are easily accessible. The handle became difficult to operate after about two weeks, but I was able to figure out a way to make it function. After 12 weeks, one wheel came off. Bags said that I would need to have it looked at locally before I could return the bag for a repair or replacement, free of charge, as it was still under warranty. The repair center is open on Saturdays, but when you go, there is no working buzzer, and the phone does not answer. You must wait long enough for someone else to come out to get in. The representative was friendly, told me they did not have that wheel, and that they would send it back, and I would be sent a replacement. Then he asked me for twenty dollars. I explained to him that the ebags representative told me that they would send it back free of charge. He said that it was my choice, but it would be twenty dollars. i suppose after taking an hour to get there, waiting in the cold with five others trying to get in to the building, waiting on line, that I should have spent more money on a sixty dollar bag, but when the other wheel decides to fall off, I'll be in the same situation again. I wish the repair people had followed what bags had told me, and sent the bag back free of charge. I will purchase from ebags again, but I will not purchase another High Sierra bag."

"I am a college professor, and bought this bag for work. I tote a bag up to four miles a day, walking long distances from my office to classrooms, and then walking to and from campus from home. I've been using the this bag for a few weeks, and so far, I'm impressed. The materials are sturdy and high end for such a reasonably-priced bag. The zippers move with ease - I can easily zip or unzip compartments with one hand, something I could not do with my previous bags. The handle extension is long and mostly moves smoothly. Great variety of small and zippered compartments keeps my stuff much better-organized. The main compartment is huge - almost too big! - I can fit folders, books, my lunch, and even gym clothes! The latptop compartment in the middle keeps my MacBook safe and secure. The side zippered compartments easily fit water bottles, and can either be partially zipped for easy access (be sure to pull the zipper up at least half way or your water bottle may fall out), or bottles can be completely enclosed in those zippered slots. The wheels are excellent - they are quiet and roll smoothly on all surfaces. I have not used the bag as a backpack yet, although I really like the zippered storage areas for the straps, and the protective barrier that keeps dirty wheels from making contact with your back. Still, I'm not quite sure that I will ever use this as a backpack because it is pretty large! The overall large size of the bag was a bit off-putting at first, but I've noticed even bigger bags on campus, and don't really care if anyone mistakes it for a luggage bag. Despite its size, the smooth rolling mechanism makes it feel light when pulling it. It also stands up fine - does not fall over when stationary. It held up fine in wet snow last week (no leakage). My last rolling bag lasted 6 months, and my record is two semesters (barely), so we'll see how this one holds up. It's my first purchase of a High Sierra product, and so far, I'd definitely recommend!"

"When I travel with my laptop, I have a long list of requirements for my carryon. My research of several possible bags led me to this one, and it has exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, it has to function equally well as a rolling laptop carryon, as a laptop/briefcase for business, and as a backpack for "touristing". This bag does all of these quite well. My one dissatisfaction is that the top pocket sags forward and is shallow, so things sometimes fall out when it is unzipped. Most of the ads and reviews hit the main features, but I'll list some of the less common ones. 1) When rolling it, I can leave one backpack strap out so that it's easy to sling it over my shoulder when I come to a place that can't be rolled. 2) It's comfortable both slung over a shoulder or worn as a backpack. 3) The handle is long enough for a 6-footer to keep from banging his heel on it. It's a double tube handle, which is more stable, more durable, and when stowed provides a more protective structure on the pack. 4) One of the compartments is big enough for me to stow my "in-flight" bag that I pull out and keep under the seat. 5) It's easy to pull the laptop (and put it back) during security without disturbing anything else in the bag. 6) The entire bottom is VERY impact resistant. 7) It's lighter than most of the bags in this class. 8) Build quality is excellent in all regards."

"The computer compartment is large, the side pockets come in handy (especially since they zip diagonally to adjust for various sized bottles), and it is highly durable. I have abused it now for 8 months and it still looks like the day I bought it. I literally carry about 50 pounds in it and use the rolling function mostly, and it has held up to stairs, etc. The straps have proven very useful also since I ride motorcycle on occassions to the University."

"This was a back to school purchase for my daughter upon recovering from surgery. All in all, this pack is ideal for us. The rolling aspect of the pack is great (no more heavy books to carry)- The handle can be easily adjusted and hidden away. The wheels are unobtrusive and the bottom has a nice guard with no added bulk or protruding plastic. The bag is well made- Stitching is secure with nice detail. Several compartments make it easy to organize materials. The substantial size accommodates locker contents for a day of classes (with no pit stops) around a large school. Great purchase."

"Perfect gear for nursing students who carry about 20lbs+ of books, laptop+cable, clothes+jacket, bottled water, food, shoes, umbrella, etc. Lots of rooms, organized pockets, well designed, best in class. Trust me--I tried couple models before I decided to purchase this one. Ebags Router was good but too small for 15" laptop, and it also not good when you place laptop in the back compartment with all the weights loading on top the laptop when rolling (returned). High Sierra Freewheel was okay too but less spaces than Powerglide (returned). If you need roomy rolling backpack, this model will not disappoint. It also fit to carry on for air travel too. However, it may look big to carry on your back when not rolling, but who care to carry on your back when you have wheel--huh?"

"Honestly, I'm very surprised at how well this backpack has held up! When I first bought it I was trying to be very gentle in using and as the weeks went on I had to run to class, or to the shuttle, or through the parking lot to my car. It's held up so well! Even in the rain, none of my stuff inside gets wet and it follows me right along through the puddles. I'm a Criminal Justice student that commutes, so I needed a good backpack to hold all of my stuff. This backpack holds my 15" MacBook Pro, power adapter, a binder, 3 folders, a planner, 5 textbooks, and my jacket easily. And that's just the main pockets. The front pocket for pens and pencils is great! Plus, the 5 year warranty explained on the tag is a nice cushion in case something happens."

"I really like the capacity of the High Sierra Powerglide. There are pockets, zippers and slots in the front zippered compartment. The two side pockets will fully zip while holding 16.9 oz. water bottles. It's also a good place for a small umbrella. I don't carry this as a backpack at all, but there is a cover that protects clothing from the wheels. It is well-balanced and does not tip over when full. The handle is cushioned for lifting into the car. I have been very pleased with this purchase. I believe it has a five-year warranty, and I would buy it again."

"I had purchased the exact item last year for my grandson to go to school. The Powerglide lasted the entire year and hardly shown any wear and tear. Excellent for transporting his books to and from school. I purchased 2 this year one for my grandson and the other for my granddaughter. I know the backpacks will have plenty of room for their books and other supplies. The price was right also. I also went to Sports Authority and Academy and their supply did not match the quality and price. Thanks for High Sierra and E-Bags for the 20 off."

"I really like this back pack. I bought this for my son for school and he loves it. The wheels are big and are great for rolling on uneven surfaces. There are a lot of great zippered compartments on the bag. He really likes the feature on the back side of the back pack when he does have to carry the bag, the compartment that keeps the shoulder straps neatly tucked in also folds down to shield the wheels from rubbing against your clothing."
