"The bag is great. It fits my tall frame and rides well when fully packed. I like the separated sleeping bag zippered compartment. The only two things I would change is 1)To make the top pouch detachable (which I did) and 2)I perfer the zipper on the front pouch to be on top in a horseshoe fashion. Less chance of me spilling items when opening. But that is just me. Eugene Turner"

"14 year old Life Scout has used numerous times. 3 days backpacking trip, weeklong bus/dorm trip to Michigan (from Texas), weekend Scout campouts. He can get everything needed in it, fits his 5Ə" body well."

"To be honest, I have yet to use this bag. But I got it because my old backpacking backpack was falling apart. This is female friendly and looked really modern. I am excited to use it in our next backpacking (camping) trip!"

"Absolutely dissappointed. Hiked in Glacier National Park in the back country for 86 miles. Pack never stayed tight, had to adjust and tighten three times an hour. Extreme back packing and pack completely failed. Sternum strap would not stay connected, kept disconnecting from shoulder strap. Went to a chiropractor today for shoulder issues due to this completely unacceptable piece of equipment."

"Bought this backpack for the Appalachian Trail, spent 5 nights out there and hiked 65 miles, very comfortable, and breathable. On one day it rained all day and with the built in rain sack it worked very good and kept everything dry. My pack starting weight was about 45lbs."

"Looks great, works well! I'm a conservationist and use this for my work. It's organized well, has a lot of convenient storage spaces but can also be compressed easily when less is needed."

"In overall, a good backpack, but there are too many (and too long) strings hanging around, which aren't necessary."

"I've used this pack just three times in the six months I've had it but each and every time it has been great. I've used it for spring, fall and even winter camping for one or two nights each - I've never filled it though, this is quite a large pack. brbr It has a lot of compression straps to help keep the gear inside from sliding or moving around; it also has a number of loops on the outside to help strap down extra gear. I haven't had issues with this pack but I haven't used it a lot, either. I remember from other reviews that the lumbar straps are too long for people with less than a 36" waist; I have a 33" waist so the lumbar straps have a bit of slack but it isn't too bad. brbr I had been hesitant about not knowing the reputation of High Sierra as far as packs go but thus far I've been impressed and recommend this pack and others by High Sierra. Thanks!"
