"The bag is great. It fits my tall frame and rides well when fully packed. I like the separated sleeping bag zippered compartment. The only two things I would change is 1)To make the top pouch detachable (which I did) and 2)I perfer the zipper on the front pouch to be on top in a horseshoe fashion. Less chance of me spilling items when opening. But that is just me. Eugene Turner"

"The adjustable straps are a great bonus such that my husband and I can both carry the bag and are able to adjust to our own bodies. I also like the bottom zipper to get into the bottom without opening the top and having to dig through the entire bag. We havent used the rain shield yet but think it will be useful. The only negative I can think of is that when checking this bag to go on an airplane we need to put it in a large plastic bag to ensure the straps will not break in transit."

"I've used this pack just three times in the six months I've had it but each and every time it has been great. I've used it for spring, fall and even winter camping for one or two nights each - I've never filled it though, this is quite a large pack. brbr It has a lot of compression straps to help keep the gear inside from sliding or moving around; it also has a number of loops on the outside to help strap down extra gear. I haven't had issues with this pack but I haven't used it a lot, either. I remember from other reviews that the lumbar straps are too long for people with less than a 36" waist; I have a 33" waist so the lumbar straps have a bit of slack but it isn't too bad. brbr I had been hesitant about not knowing the reputation of High Sierra as far as packs go but thus far I've been impressed and recommend this pack and others by High Sierra. Thanks!"

"I have only used it once but loaded it with a tent, sleeping bag, extra clothes, 2 days food, camp stove, fuel, & various supplies totaling 35lbs without too much trouble.I really like that you can combine the bottom compartment and the upper compartment (divider can be unzipped)."

"Bought this backpack for the Appalachian Trail, spent 5 nights out there and hiked 65 miles, very comfortable, and breathable. On one day it rained all day and with the built in rain sack it worked very good and kept everything dry. My pack starting weight was about 45lbs."

"purchesed this pack for some mild hiking and camping. we've only used it a few times. has held up well so far. bought another one becouse the wife love mine. she's used it once. but she had no complants about back pain when we reached our camp site. way worth the money to me for that. we are planning on purchasing at least one more. could use a few more storage compartments for small things. also aq bigger coler selection but we are happy with this pack so far. worth the cash for small outings."

"Looks great, works well! I'm a conservationist and use this for my work. It's organized well, has a lot of convenient storage spaces but can also be compressed easily when less is needed."

"Very sturdy and tough, great bag all around. Very large main compartment. If I could improve on one thing, it would be to add more exterior small pockets."
