"I just got this in the mail for my first hiking trip in the Appalachian Mountains. It is a great size back for a 4 to 7 day hike! Lots of storage. I am 5' 10' and it is a great fit with the adjustable shoulder straps. Great pack!"

"I have used this pack 2 times on backpacking trips.I have found it to be very comfortable and easily packed with gear.Upon returning from the 2nd trip I noticed the top strap on the left side had come unstitched from the pack.I called High Sierra and infomed them of the problem, and they emailed me a return shipping label.I was told it would be 2 to 3 weeks for turn around so I was supprised to find a package at my front door less than a week later with a new pack inside.Hopefully this pack will hold up better but with warrenty service like this I am very satisfied."

"I am small person so the bag looks big on me, but I can carry it for the most part and it is slim enough not to be too bulky. I took this on a 3 week trip around London and Ireland and it was perfect. There are lots of straps and buckles which can get in the way, but I didn't have too much trouble with them and there is a rain cover which can be used to protect the straps when traveling. The separation flap on the bottom was incredibly handy, I stuck my shoes in there and kept my clothes in the larger, upper compartment. Overall, it is a great bag for traveling as long as you don't have to carry it for very long periods of time. Great substitute for a suitcase if you know how to pack light."

"I'm about a 32-33 waist, 6'-2" tall, long torso and 175-180 lbs. The only thing I would like different is for the waist belt to tighten an inch or two smaller. I was able to tighten it enough for it to take the weight off my shoulders but there was nothing left for me to tighten it a little more if I wanted to. Other than that, the pack was perfect, solidly built with great adjustment straps. I had the pack loaded to the max for 3 nights at a base camp with two 15-year-old boys. I wouldn't want the pack any bigger or it would end up being too heavy to be practical ... so essentially it is a perfect size in my opinion. Very easy to pack with sleeping bag in bottom compartment, tent, inflatable sleeping pad, pillow, clothes, towel, rain gear, pot, stove, misc. items in main compartment, food in the top, sandals stuffed between the back compartment and a baseball bat in the Velcro tool strap. There are two straps under the sleeping bag compartment for a foam sleeping pad and there is a zipper on the inside sleeping bag compartment divider which allows you to use the full length of the pack if you need to. I bought this pack after buying one last year at a very affordable price for my son. I could see its quality and now that I've worn it myself this year, I'm convinced this pack is an all around great pack for the price."

"I am a pretty small guy and i like to backpack a-lot. This bag is a decent bag for the Money and has worked alright for me, but I would go A-head and spey the extra money on an Osprey or Gregory Pack. The backrest and fram on this pack are not to swell."

"Pack worked great on a recent trip to Colorado. The small case on the strap was too small for my Iphone but I liked the rest of the features. Used the cover more than I wanted but it works great. I'm looking forward to using this pack many times."

"Great quality pack and worth every single penny. Its size and versatility make it an incredible companion on long hikes. The pack rides well with good support. It was incredibly comfortable to wear as long as the load is situated correctly. For a serious hiker who needs a true carry all, this is it."

"This is a great backpack. Love the design; love that it has a sleeping bag compartment, built-in rain cover (a huge plus) and ice tool stays. The only thing that is sub-par is the durability of the mesh side pockets. I use these for water bottles and the mesh is already torn (same problem on my previous Sentinel 65). I am a recreational climbing guide and use this pack for work and for fun. It goes on long, rough hikes as well as short approaches and is used to carry my climbing gear."

"This is the best backpack on the market for the money. It is very well organized. I use it all the time hiking on the Appalachian trail. I cannot think of one thing I would change on this pack."
