"I bought this bag with my Dell 17R laptop but I returned the computer due software issue. Undecided to return the bag too, I waited for awhile until my new Dell Inspiron 15z ultrabook was delivered a couple of weeks ago. When fitted into my laptop, though the bag's platform is 1.5 bigger on the side, it matched and suited well, giving ample spaces for USB devices attached onto it including the powercord. A major feature of this bag is I don't have to pull the computer out of the bag. I just zipped out the sides, ergo, ready to use. When on the go, I noticed no loose or movement of computer as its rubber slid seats well with platform tabs. My laptop is tacked safely with retainer webbing Velcro. A big front zipper pocket for accessories which holds mouse, power adaptor, extension cord and P&S pocket digital camera, batteries and flash cards comes in handy. Another slip-on pocket for my documents and manual. Durability is not an issue; excellent material, well-placed paddings, strong zipper with hole for mini padlock, sturdy and well-covered platform and it not so bulky to carry. There's no doubt this is a good buy. It's a must for computer geeks, students and travelers. I can't ask for more."

"Very sturdy, lightweight, important when the 17" laptop weighs over 7 lbs. Very snug fit for our pc but nice lap platform for working when not at a table, pc is held in place by the case. Shoulder strap is actually in our way since the hand strap is very good fit and good height for carrying at arms length instead of being so heavy on one shoulder. Tucked the shoulder strap tight around the outside of case but might remove it. Would recommend the case highly. Outside pocket holds wires, mouse, small pad, some paperwork, etc."

"Overall, it is a very sturdy, quality case with foam cushion surrounding the interior of the case. It is light weight but not flimsy. The design is ideal for interim wait time such as train rides, car pool, plane layover. Although I can work directly in the case, there is no option to secure the PC to the case when the laptop is open. There is a strap to secure the closed laptop to the case in order to minimize the PC movement while enclosed in the case. It fits my 17" MacBook Pro Laptop that measures 15.5" x 10.75", power block, mouse and miscellaneous small gadgets. I think it is the perfect on-the-go working case. The price is very reasonable after discount and free shipping. I would recommend this laptop case. The 17" Shuttle 2.1 has improved its design from the 2.0 version shown on the Higher Ground website: There is no option for a backpack strap. The D-rings were removed from the new design. Don't miss it. I would never run the risk of a thief unzipping the case on my back and grabbing the PC. The shoulder strap is non-removable. The interior straps that keep the case lid open at 90 degrees is located 3.75" closer to the center of the lid rather than at the left and right side of the case. No more blockage of side ports on PC. The design was well thought out."
