Incipio Smart Feather Back Cover for new iPad (iPad 3 & iPad w/ Retina Display) 

"I have tried a number of sleeves/covers, etc. for the iPad (I currently have the iPad 4) and similar to a number of other reviewers on this site, am particular about the fit, function, and aesthetics of my computer/tablet accessories. The Smart Feather Back (I chose the clear/smoke version) fits the iPad very well (no gaps), does not compromise the line and beauty of the iPad, and functions such that the Apple Smart Cover is now permanently affixed to the tablet (for those of you who are not familiar with the Apple Smart Cover, it attaches to the iPad with a magnetic bar ... which functions quite well as a front cover but does not permanently attach the cover to the iPad). I am quite satisfied with this purchase; as is usual with eBags, the cover was shipped timely and received quickly. The packaging was sufficient to protect the cover and even though I have no intention of returning this product, previous experience with returns has been pain-free! The Smart Feather Cover provides a high degree of protection for the back of the iPad and paired with the Apple Smart Cover, even more protection ... and it is a low profile package that does not compromise the beautiful lines of the iPad. For me it's a "keeper"."

"I got an Ipad for Christmas along with Apple's baby blue accordion type cover for the front of the Ipad. I bought the "Smart Feather Back Cover" in Incipio and I love it. It is nice and cushy, does the job of protecting my Ipad, which is most important. The color isn't exactly a dead on match, but it's close enough for me, and believe me I am VERY picky. If you are looking for a good protective cover for the back of your Ipad you won't go wrong with the "Smart Feather Back Cover.""

"I recently received the latest iPad with a Smart cover as presents. The cover kept falling off which was really annoying, and then I discovered this back cover. It really helps keep the front cover on, and the translucent mercury lets the design of the iPad and logo show through, keeping its slim look. I wish there was more protection for the sides, since there is none really, but this is not made as protection if you drop your iPad. I don't plan on dropping it, and I don't want to insult my gift giver by covering it all up either. If I would purchase a new "cover" myself, and not receive one at all as a gift, it would be more of a protective case, but this helps solve the problem of keeping the "Smart" front cover from falling off and it still works as smartly as it did."
