"The Hickory sling is a nice size and shape, and has a burly zipper. While the bag appears to have been designed for children, it can be useful to adults. The main strap is a poorly-designed mess, misshapen and full of velcro. I've taken the bottom part of the main strap, folded it over on itself, and secured it to it's base with a small velcro strap. Thought about severing it from the bag entirely, as it's just in the way. The bag has a normal web strap that takes the place of the bottom strap, making the entire strap fit a lot better. The stitching on the velcro is already starting to come apart from only a few pulls. Might end up removing the velcro altogether, as it bunches up under the strap at the shoulder. The waist belt stitching at the connect points looks a bit shaky, but not planning to use the waist belt much, so it's OK. Bag appears different from the photos, having an all red facing, instead of the black pocket on the facing. There's a slight gap at the top of the main zipper, which could allow some rain to enter, but that's easily remedied with a small duck tape flap, or something sewn onto the nearby webbing tab. This bag is a bit overpriced. Welcome to the weird world of J World. Can't wait to beat it to death in Amsterdam this April!"

"I purchased this bag and the Everest Sling Bag to compare. This bag has 2 smaller secondary pockets than the Everest Sling Bag. I was looking for a sling bag that would hold an Asus Google Nexus 7 and the only pocket that it would fit in is the main pocket. I would have preferred it fitting in one of the secondary pockets perfectly. This bag fits much better than the Everest. The cell phone pocket on this bag is decent sized and should fit most cell phones. This bag would be ideal for a gym bag to carry your workout clothes, but not much else."

"I purchased this book bag for my 7 year old son and he loves it! :) The strap is adjustable and my son is of average height and weight for a 7 year old. The zipper is large and has a large pull strap which makes packing up at the end of the school day easy for him. There is ample room for books, folders, a bunched up coat or sweatshirt and a lunch bag. Although only a month into weekly use it appears to be a solid well constructed bag. If your child is looking for a sling bag I would recommend this."
