"This bag is a little darker than it appears online which for me was a good thing. I liked the overall look of the bag and had wanted a split luggage that was more of a duffel bag style so I could organize my clothing better by separating the hard items from the soft items. It does have a very sturdy telescoping arm, which I found to be very nice as some luggage that part tends to wiggle around. It also locked into place quickly and easily. The only reason I returned this bag and won't buy it again is that they are only 2 external pockets for organization. The top compartment is small and can store little items like a wallet or keys. Maybe medications that need quick access. The larger pocket on the bottom is more like that of a front pocket on a back pack. It has an area for pens/pencils, credit card like slots. Books or magazines. Maybe a computer can fit into this compartment but it's not really padded for a computer. The way this luggage opens up is very similar to a drop bottom. The top inner compartment can be accessed only by opening the first zipper or underneath by opening the bottom zipper then unzipping the material on the inside. Overall, it's a bag that may suit a man more than a woman, as there are no interior pockets of any kind. In order for me to keep this bag, I would have to purchase bags to put undergarments in, jewelry, little extras etc. which did not make this bag worth keeping. The belts on the exterior are nice and don't create an overhang that may get caught on the airport luggage conveyor belt. I just wanted to write a review for those that may be interested in this bag for it's possible organization ability. It seriously lacks in that department."

"Just back from using this bag for 3 weeks in China. Two transpacific flights, 6 flights within China, 1 catamaran, 1 river cruise, and numerous buses and no damage to the bag. It's easy to find on a carousel, weighs less than the average bag, and is great because one can leave home with just the drop bottom section packed and then "shop into" the top duffel section to avoid having 2 bags when returning. Rolls smoothly, some resistance with raising and lowering the handle but that's pretty standard in my experience. Seems to be a keeper!"

"I honestly need to update this review after a little more use, but I am pleasantly surprised with the outside quality of this bag. The zippers feel high quality, they dont seem to catch, the handle seems sturdy. The outside has plenty of pockets for the business traveller like me. My ONLY complaint so far is that the liner inside seems kind of cheap and thin, but I will see how it stands up to time. I do think it's a very good looking bag, very competitive to 120$+ Burton bags, etc."

"I use the bag to carry my basketball officiating equipment to games. It is the perfect size. I would like to have a couple more pockets in it, but overall it's a great bag!"

"This is the second J World bag I have purchased. The first was a 21" carry-on and this one a 25" bag. I like the pattern on the bag as it is easier to find on the carousel at the airport. The straps and closures around the bag at the top and bottom are very helpful to squeeze in more than you left home with. The zippered pockets are convenient to use making it easy to find things. I am very pleased with this bag."

"Survived a two week five flight international trip. It even survived two searches by the idiot TSA goones who neglected to zip it back up. I'm a little concerned about the handle as times goes on but so far so good."

"I have not used it as yet, but it looks like it will do the job. I guess my finger must have slipped because I did not get the color that I thought I ordered which was Hawaii. The blue plaid is not really my style, but I will live with it."
