"Very roomy, and that's our number one reason for buying this pack. It is our second one. The first one is not worn out yet (after about 4 months daily use by a 6th grade boy), but I saw the crow pattern on sale and decided to buy it now as it was such an excellent value. My son loves the crow pattern. It's different and a bit quirky. He really likes how roomy these packs are, since he has a lot to put in it (today it's a 3" ring binder, 2 fat textbooks, one 1" binder, several folders, 1" of loose papers, a hard back novel, a paperback novel, a 3" deck of flash cards, pencils, pens, etc.) He can fit in everything he needs without struggling to get it in there, and the zipper is not strained."
