"I purchased the JanSport Driver 8 Wheeled Backpack specifically for transporting books, laptop and equipment associated with my studies in the nursing program. Not only does this backpack accomodate all my college needs; it is stylish and very durable. The contents are easily accessible because it continues to stand upright even when full of books, etc. The wheels are quiet when in motion and it is very easy to maneuver. I looked at a lot of wheeled backpacks and found the JanSport Driver 8 to be top quality at a reasonable price."

"I bought this bag 5 years ago for business travel. I am a platinum level flyer every year so this bag has seen hundreds of thousands of miles and unbelievably, it looks as good today as it did new. I've had several samsonites before this Jansport and none of them lasted more than two years. Even my suisse Army by wenger gave up (pull handle came undone) after two years. this is the ultimate business laptop traveler because: 1. It weighs just under 5lbs. Important since many international airlines only allow carry-ons less than 15lbs(7kgs). 2. Quick transition to backpack in seconds allows you to cruise through security checkpoints that weigh rolling carry-on bags just in case you are over the 15lb limit:) 3. Stable design means it stands up no matter how much I load into it, even when with the zipper open. 4. As big as it is, it fits into a CRJ overhead compartment! 5. Rediculously durable. 5 years of travel and only now has one of the zippers finally come undone, but...it's got a lifetime warrantee so voila! fixed for free. Nice. 6. Rugged wheels roll over anything including gravel. 7. It's got lots of storage for it's weight. Two bottles of wine fit easily into the main compartment with room left for personal items. I've crammed as many as 4 bottles with the laptop. A bit more interior organization would have been nice, but I sorted my own insert so it works great for me."

"The JanSport Driver 8 works great for my daughter's long treks acrosss campus and to labs. Her back does not hurt, she can move faster with less effort. Much better than an ordinary heavy backpack she was using. Overall, it works perfect for her busy life style. She carries several heavy textbooks, a lap top, and supplies--the organized sections hold everything. Previously, I owned another JanSport for over 20 years but it finally went kaput. JanSport sent me a bereavement note and said it went to backpack heaven and couldn't be repaired, but the company immediately replaced it with another bag. Lifetime warranty means lifetime. That's what I call guaranteed. The durability and the construction is the same as before. It is built to wear and keeps on treking. Other brands do not offer a lifetime guarantee, so my bet is on JanSport."

"My enormous nursing school textbooks eventually broke the first and second school bags I bought, but not this one! Praise God, this bag has held up nicely. One of my classmates has this bag as well, and after 18 months of hauling massive books, hers is in great condition also. We both really like the water bottle pockets on the outside, and the thick study wheels and handle. This bag is perfect for nursing, medical, and pharmacy students with huge textbooks."

"My main criteria for purchasing this bag is it's light weight, and its ability to carry a 17" laptop. I love this bag--use it everyday in my 2 hour commute from NJ to NYC. I've also been able to pack 2 days of clothes, a 17" and 15" laptop (power blocks, mice, external hard drive), toiletries, and sandals on a trip to Atlanta recently. It's tough, has useful compartments, good laptop protection, has good ground clearance, quite water resistant, lightweight, and looks trendy with the cool handle (which is quite long, so you have less tendency to be tripped up when wheeling the bag)."

"Only piece of luggage I took to Europe & toured around for 3 1/2 weeks. I pulled it everywhere and it was fantastic. Very sturdy. I couldn't have been happier with it!"

"This bag's weight is just right, not flimsy and not heavy -- perfect for carry-on with my 4lb laptop and various other devices to keep the overseas flights a bit more comfortable. The pulling handle is well built. Small drawback is the lack of small zippered compartments inside the front compartment so that I can keep myself a bit more organized and stuff more easily accessible. Laptop is very accessible and well protected. With all things stuffed inside, it still fits under the seat in front of me."

"My son uses it for school. He brings home heavy textbooks each day and his main classroom is on the second floor. With this backpack, he is able to pull/push it up/down stairs without having to carry a heavy backpack."

"It is heavier than I expected. The main pocket isn't really that big. I could barely fit 2 2-inch binders into the pocket, let alone all my books and my other binder. It is definitely more stable than my last backpack on wheels; it hasn't tipped more than five times in the 3 weeks I've had it. This backpack would probaply be good for somebody in 4th or 5th grade who doesn't have too many books to carry yet but needs a good sized backpack. If they're small though, it might be hard to carry up and down stairs and the handle is also pretty tall."

"I purchased this backpack as a replacement for my Cal-Pak U-turn which was stolen. I now wish I had stuck with the Cal-Pak. While functional, this bag lacks storage pockets, which are a feature I found very useful in my Cal-Pak. The handle, however, better suits my needs as it firmly locks in place for wheeling both forward and backwards. The handle is also a little more comfortable. I like the locaion of the laptop section. In the Calpak the laptop section was at the far back of the backpack, causing all my books to lean up against my computer when I wheeled the backpack. In this bag, it is located at the front of the main compartment, preventing the weight from my books resting on my computer when wheeled. I also like the fact that this bag is about half the weight of the Calpak. The waterbottle holder, which at first I thought was a wonderful idea, barely keeps my nalgene in place. Every time I take this bag over a large bump the bottle comes tumbling out. All in all, I'm not wholey dissapointed with this bag, but I'm not overwhelmed either. If I had to choose all over again, I would probably have stuck with the CalPak U-turn."
