"I am carting around about 30 pounds worth of stuff in his bookbag four days a week and it's holding up just fine. Absolutely no seam fraying, tearing, or zipper malfunctions. It fits a large zip-up binder, a huge hardback chemistry book, three thinner paperback books, a composition notebook, and a netbook with no problems. The straps are nicely padded and don't cut into my shoulders."

"Extremely durable backpack. My children usually demolish at least two backpacks each school year at at least $25 each. This backpack has lasted FOUR school years! It is still usable, but banged up outside. I am purchasing a new one strictly for cosmetic appearance, not because the old one is unusable. Worth every penny!"

"Worth the money. I had an older model Big Student(bs) by Jansport that I got new from the goodwill. Cost me $5. I wore the bottom out on it in about 10months. It has the same bottom as this pack so I'll have to be more careful with it. I loved the bs but the current ones don't have a water bottle holder so I started looking at other packs. I have had two packs since the bs, I had a Kenneth Cole and a Swiss army. Both were nice packs but they had this bulky feel due to the laptop pouch. I don't carry a laptop so this was a waste of space. The Wasabi has a dedicated pocket for the laptop but isn't bulking at all. Another complaint with those other packs was the layout of the pockets. I ride a bike and sometimes i'll need to reach in my bag for something while riding. Those other packs made this cumbersome and difficult. The wasabi's pockets are almost perfect. The horizontal zipper is where it should be so that when reaching in nothing should fall out. This bag won't fit as much as my bs but it will be perfect(now that I have a car) for my everyday needs. I also like how it doesn't look bulky when packed to the gills. Another reason I chose Jansport is the comfort of the straps. Very comfortable. I would agree with an earlier post about the quality of the zippers. They feel cheap and when closing the zippers, the flap that covers them gets in the way. Although I have noticed that my zippers are moving more smoothly after a day of use. So the things I like are: -space -comfort -water bottle holder -layout(although the middle pocket could be engineered better) -cost -aesthetics Things that need to be improved: -zipper quality/flaps -pen organizer pouch is lacking -water bottle elastic needs to Hold better -maybe a bit more padding between you and the pack. I am happy with my purchase and E Bags got my shipment to me in 3days. Very Satisfied!"
