"Extremely durable backpack. My children usually demolish at least two backpacks each school year at at least $25 each. This backpack has lasted FOUR school years! It is still usable, but banged up outside. I am purchasing a new one strictly for cosmetic appearance, not because the old one is unusable. Worth every penny!"

"Worth the money. I had an older model Big Student(bs) by Jansport that I got new from the goodwill. Cost me $5. I wore the bottom out on it in about 10months. It has the same bottom as this pack so I'll have to be more careful with it. I loved the bs but the current ones don't have a water bottle holder so I started looking at other packs. I have had two packs since the bs, I had a Kenneth Cole and a Swiss army. Both were nice packs but they had this bulky feel due to the laptop pouch. I don't carry a laptop so this was a waste of space. The Wasabi has a dedicated pocket for the laptop but isn't bulking at all. Another complaint with those other packs was the layout of the pockets. I ride a bike and sometimes i'll need to reach in my bag for something while riding. Those other packs made this cumbersome and difficult. The wasabi's pockets are almost perfect. The horizontal zipper is where it should be so that when reaching in nothing should fall out. This bag won't fit as much as my bs but it will be perfect(now that I have a car) for my everyday needs. I also like how it doesn't look bulky when packed to the gills. Another reason I chose Jansport is the comfort of the straps. Very comfortable. I would agree with an earlier post about the quality of the zippers. They feel cheap and when closing the zippers, the flap that covers them gets in the way. Although I have noticed that my zippers are moving more smoothly after a day of use. So the things I like are: -space -comfort -water bottle holder -layout(although the middle pocket could be engineered better) -cost -aesthetics Things that need to be improved: -zipper quality/flaps -pen organizer pouch is lacking -water bottle elastic needs to Hold better -maybe a bit more padding between you and the pack. I am happy with my purchase and E Bags got my shipment to me in 3days. Very Satisfied!"

"Regular sized backpack - clean and simple was what I was looking for and this fit the bill. Good quality for the price. I was looking to avoid any bulky pockets or extra straps attached to the regular straps, and these straps are perfect and simple but supportive enough for medium load. Nice, large main compartment."

"I am carting around about 30 pounds worth of stuff in his bookbag four days a week and it's holding up just fine. Absolutely no seam fraying, tearing, or zipper malfunctions. It fits a large zip-up binder, a huge hardback chemistry book, three thinner paperback books, a composition notebook, and a netbook with no problems. The straps are nicely padded and don't cut into my shoulders."

"I bought this backpack in navy for my son. He loves it. It's a sturdy backpack that keeps all of his items (even his iPad) organized. Great bag for school or travel."

"My 13 year old daughter uses this for school. We searched online for a long time and had to return the 1st Adidas one we received from Amazon because the color was off (her old Adidas one ripped, I know this JanSport will definitely not rip! It's really good quality). This is an awesome backpack, hidden pocket at the top perfect for cell phone, wish that the side mesh pocket was taller and that there were 2 side pockets vs. just one. Pockets are ingenious, we put her laptop in the side zipper pockets, binders in another large pocket, and personal items in the front. Water bottle on the side and we have had to switch to a shorter bottle as taller ones fall out. We got the bright turqoise color."

"I bought this JanSport Wasabi backpack for my 14 year old son. He was starting high school and I wanted to give him a durable backpack that looked nice and could hold all of his stuff. This pack has not disappointed. My son loves the look of it and takes it every day to school. We are a JanSport family (my husband, myself, and now our son) carry JanSport backpacks. This pack has all the compartments that my son needs and he is very happy with it. Do not regret the purchase at all. If I had to say anything negative about the purchase experience, it would be that I placed this order on August 4 and by four days later I had not been given a shipping notification. When I had a live chat with an eBags rep, I was told he would have to check with the warehouse and get back to me within 24-48 hours. I never heard back from him but the backpack arrived on August 9."

"Works well to carry a laptop while traveling yet has room to carry other items needed for travel i.e. sweater, knitting, book and purse type items. I like the little zip at the top - perfect for a camera."

"Love, love, love! I Couldn't be happier with this backpack! This is my second one and the first was used weekly for 2 yrs and only had a small tear. I could have used it for a 3rd year but I wanted to reward myself with a new wasabi back pack. Roomy (not bulky) and functional with the perfect amount of storage."
