"This is a great alternative to other enormous backpack/toddler carriers out there. We tried several others(other Kelty products, Osprey, Deuter), but the only ones that will fit a 36", ~30lb toddler are the huge, full frame backpacks. This one, on the other hand, doesn't look like you're going camping for a week when you wear it, and it will fit easily into an overhead compartment. It's also structured enough to be very comfortable on long, strenuous hikes. The other big benefit (vs. less structured carriers) is that it still holds the child high enough that they can see over your shoulders and enjoy the hike."
