"I'm an attorney and I bought this as my every day bag. First, I'd like to point out that I do not carry a laptop in this bag and I haven't attempted to. I suspect that if I did carry an average-sized laptop, I'd have room for little else and it would be too heavy. I primarily use the bag for carrying files, legal-size files fit in very nicely, and some books too. The front pocket is a good size and allows you to carry a decent amount of items and is where the laptop would go. But, it's actually the second pocket in the back (without any clasps) that gives me the storage space I'm looking for. It is covered by a flap, which allows for quick access (the clasps are somewhat cumbersome up front) and has more space than the front compartment. I can carry about 30 thin files in the back pocket and two annotated code books in the front ease. If you're interested in carrying some sort of computing device, you'd be fine with something small like a chromebook, iPad, or other tablet. Anything larger and you'll probably find yourself low on space. Second, I've had this item for a year and it's held up very nicely. The dowel rod gives it a sturdy construction and even if the bag feels really heavy, you never worry that the shoulder strap will snap on you. I will, however, give a warning about the two clasps up front: I once saw another person with a near identical bag on the train and his straps were bent out of shape and curled up from all the constant tugging on the end of the straps, which look like a belt. It's worth nothing that, although the strap appears to be a belt, it's actually a "snap-on" clip concealed behind the belt buckle. The belt is just for aesthetic purposes. So, you don't need to undo the two belts each time you want to open the bag (which is convenient). What I do to avoid the belt end from curling up through wear-and-tear is snapping the straps on by pulling on the buckle not the end of the belt itself. Overall, I'm happy with the buy."

"Great bag, very well priced compared to other KC offerings. The only issue is that it is a little narrow, not good if you are packing a lot of electronics or books. Other than that I am very happy with it."

"Looks good, but the pocket is too small for an iPhone, the fittings for pens are too small, one of the two closure latches doesn't close properly and the handle is poorly designed in appearance and comfort."

"Solid feeling, classic look, enough storage for a professional. I wish it to be bigger and more room for keys, usb flash, business card, checks..."

"I bought this item for my lawyer husband who is hard on bags. He needs space for multiple files, some of them large. This suits him perfectly. He is hard on his briefcases, so check back in 6 months to see if it is holding up. It seems it will, as most of the hardest used elements are screwed into a wooden dowel. It is a good looking bag that isn't to ostentatious. And can't beat the great price."
