"This bag has plenty of room for everything, it's cute and it's very comfortable to carry around. It also helps me stay organized and I feel very safe with it because it has a little place for everything. It's durable and waterproof and the adjustable strap is long enough and adustable enough for someone of any height to carry anyway they would like. If my back starts to ache from the weight of all I can stuff in it ( because the bag itself is very light), I can just adjust the strap to weigh on a different part of my body. I love this bag and I look forward to a long, healthy relationship with it using it frequently!"

"I needed a messenger bag that could carry the usual purse items--wallet, check book, Smartphone, cosmetics case, keys, sunglasses--and accommodate (via expansion) my lunch tote, work shoes and, on occasion, Pilates wear. I did not want a laptop messenger or one that had multiple storage compartments as I don't carry my laptop to work, and I find all those pockets/pouches for accessories more frustrating than useful. Just more compartments to go through when I'm frantically searching for my keys, phone, etc. The Madhouse Expandable is lightweight and commodious. The wide strap with the non-slip rubber grip does not cut into my scapula or clavicle. And I don't have to worry about fabric abrasion and pilling because the crinkle nylon glides smoothly across my coat and clothes. Always know where my keys are (hanging from the key fob) and where my ID and phone are (in the outside zippered compartment). And speaking of zippers, the zippers and pulls are large, sturdy and glide easily. This is especially important for me as I have limited dexterity because of hand injury and surgery. One negative--the VELCRO! Would have preferred plastic snap clasps or magnetic closures. I've ruined two cashmere sweaters and pulled threads on numerous clothes by catching them on the Velcro. I'm considering refitting the bag with clasps or magnets."

"Great bag. I use it for school and I can carry many books. It also can expand if you need more room, but does not look bulky. Also has pockets to put personal stuff and key holder. The velcro closure stays secure. Strap is comfortable even when heavy."

"It's really great. It's cute and there's plenty of room inside. It's good for students because on those days when you need to take a lot of books home the bag gets a lot bigger when expanded. It's also easy to clean and when it rains your books do not get wet. The monkey is a bonus also."

"GOOD: The interior of this bag is primarily one large pocket with a slightly mobile flexible divider splitting it into two large pockets which can each easily hold four books roughly the size of most college calculus and physics books. Most of my reference books are slightly smaller, and I have occasionally hauled around ten books and a small stack of journal articles in this bag. The lack of "gadget pockets" and "organizers" plays a large role in the bag's ability to haul significant loads. The bag's construction seems to be sturdy, and I expect it to hold up well over time. BAD: The shoulder strap is not well padded, and the pad is only positioned acceptably if the strap is lengthened enough to be worn across the body on the opposing shoulder. The strap is stitched in place and can not be easily replaced or upgraded. The black version of the bag has silvery grey stitching and zippers and a sandy brown "KIPLING" patch which are a bit too contrasting to look reasonably professional. The covering flap is exactly the width of the bag at the corner stitching rather than being slightly oversized. This allows a gap about one-half of an inch in size to form at the edges when the bag is mostly filled with books, exposing the books to rain or other environmental hazards."

"The bag is great - roomy, functional and stylish! The only problem I had was the two front pockets being open so I bought some sticky velcro and used that - works great!"

"The expandable feature of the bag came in handy but was %*$bersome to carry when fully loaded and expanded -- even with a laptop. The strap does not have any padding and would get pretty heavy when traveling/walking long distances. It does fit under most airline seats -- even when fully expanded. The pockets are versitle but found that I needed to use other smaller bags to keep things organized. It is easy to access everything in the bag because of the top opening -- great for files! In the end, I have switched to a smaller backpack for daily use with my laptop and save this bag for when I'm traveling or need to take more "stuff" with me."

"This bag was a great buy. This size was just right and the pockets worked well for organizing. It has held up really well during daily use and is lasting longer than bags purchased in the past."

"The only challenge I have with this bag is that the two inside pockets could be more secure. I have found that I am continually losing items from these pockets which otherwise would be good for calculater/palm/etc."

"Great looking bag. Love the monkey. It's a bit pricey, but the organization is good; lots of pockets inside and zippered pocket outside. I use it for college. It holds my books and supplies for the day, but is a bit small for any extra books. Can hold everything else I would put in a pocketbook."

"This is a great bag. Not embarrassing to carry around since it's not intense, but still durable and organized enough. Semi-stylish to wear with nice clothes, but strill casual. I use it for school and travel. It's roomy but not embarrassing;y large. Very well priced also. It also holds up well in the rain."
