Korchmar Belting Leather Brief Bag 

"I purchased this bag for it's classic leather styling and looks as well as it functionality. The attorney bag design enables me to open the bag wide to give me complete access to all my files and contents. No more need to look through various compartments or fiddling with zippers. I transitioned to this bag after using rolling computer bags for 10+years, so I had to get used to the idea of not having to travel with extras; cords etc are stored in my carryon suiter. The pockets inside the bag do not hold bulky items. However, the bag is plenty wide enough to contain separate storage pouches ( I'm still experimenting with this). The bag's finish appears as a darker,richer brown on the ebags website rather than the lighter color that it actually arrived in. This is no problem as the first leather treatment darkened it. To get a truer picture of the color you should look at the Korchmar website. The leather is substantial and the stitching is well done. This bag should provide years of service. The padded, double handles make for a wide grip, so buyers with small hands should take note. For those looking for a lightweight bag, this bag may not be a good candidate. For those looking for a stylish bag that will age gracefully over time, this is your bag."

The quality of the leather is very high and the construction is entirely stitched rather than being glued together as is all too common. I like the top-opening design -- unlike a standard briefcase this bag can be used conveniently while on the floor, and unlike soft open-top bags it provides a reasonable amount of protection for its contents. One of the interior dividers has pockets for pencils and small objects, and there is a snap for securing a ring of keys. Overall the design is well thought out. The only real disappointment I have with this bag is that its carrying capacity is not as great as one might expect for such a large bag, because the tapered top will not close if the bag is full."
