"The reason these are cheaper than similar compression bags is because the plastic used is thinner. At first I thought this was bad, but it was soon clear that it is an advantage because it takes up less room in your bag, especially when empty and folded. And eventhough they are thinner, they holdup just as well. The zippers come off sometimes, but I have found that on the Eagle Creek ones too."
