"I have many luggage locks and do favor the spinner combo style like this (over the key style) - and especially love the cable closure vs. the hard metal latch as on my other, older models. The number dials are easily navigated and the proper stopping point is also very visible- great product for the piece of mind to be TSA compliant and secure."

"Love that this lock can be used to close a couple of pieces together;p however, and this may be just my problem, I had a very diffcult time pulling open the lock. It was very easy to set and unset, but I had trouble actually taking it apart. If you have more dexterity than I do, this lock is wonderful"

"I used three of these small combo locks to secure the zippers on my travel backpack (eBags' Motherlode Weekender). The locks were very easy to open and close, and performed their job of preventing unwanted access to the bags interior contents. These little locks are lightweight, seemed rugged, and held up to being thrown on top of buses and thrown onto the ground."

"This is a great lock. The cable allows for locking of many types of luggage closures, and the flexibility allows for creative locking, such as locking the closures on two adjacent sections. Much better than what you can get at a local luggage store, and cheaper."

"Makes it easy to lock 2 compartments on a backpack at once, just loop it through all 4 zippers."

"Mixed feelings about this item. The longer cable is nice since it can easily be threaded thru zippers. It also allows you to easily twist the lock into view when you want to dial in the combination to unlock it. Here's the problem though... - Since the length of the cable causes the lock to hang a few inches off the bag it becomes an easy "handle" to grab and whip the bag around. That's apparently what happened to my wife's brand new suitcase on a trip from Costa Rica to Miami on American Airlines. We had to retrieve our bags to clear customs before boarding our connecting flight. At the baggage carousel someone was taking all the bags off the conveyor and lining them up. When we arrived we found our bags zipper torn loose and contents of the bag were strewn all over. The bag had been locked and our best guess was someone grabbed it by the lock instead of the real handle and it ripped the zipper off. Of course American Airlines would take no responsibility for the damage since they conveniently exclude zippers from their damage policy. Luckily the bag was an Ebag purchased here and Eric listened to our story and sent us a new bag under their lifetime warranty policy. I'm not sure if I'll use the locks again though. Perhaps I'll try something smaller that won't be as easy to grab."

"These locks were easy to set and use. I locked my bag at the hotel for piece of mind not that I left anything of value in it but I hope that it discourages people from opening it. I will use them on the train in Europe for the same reason. I also have one with a longer cable to tie 2 bags together. I hope that it makes them harder to steal."

"Tricky to set the combination. If you lose the pressure at all on the button while setting, the combination will be somewhere between what you intended and the default. I have one useless lock because of this. Instructions should state this caution clearer."
