"I work in the city and commute everyday and I have to say the bag is the perfect size to put in whatever i need for work: laptop, lunch. it's quite comfortable regardless of what I put back there. if I was to have anything negative to say is that I wish it had an inside pocket and a pocket on the front strap for my cel-phone. if it had those two items it would the perfect bag. overall i give it an 8.5/10"

"I love Manhattan Portage bags -- they are very durable and functional. This one is an exception, though. It is durable, but the design is flawed. I wish there were more pockets on the inside -- it's a mess. The loop at the top sticks out a bit too much -- annoying. It's not great for times when you take it off/put it on frequently. I gave up on using it for my commute."

"My son (15) selected this bag and he loves it. He thinks it's very attractive. He wanted a sling-type bag to make it easier to carry his heavy school books around. The bag doesn't quite hold all his book on the heavy homework days, but it holds quite a lot. A downside is that there are not a lot of pockets for organization."

"The only problem I have is that the bag is not big enough to fit all my books this semester, and I had to switch back to another bag for a semester. It's not as big as normal backpacks or messenger bags, but it's great for what does fit in it. I'm a little worried about the elastic connecting each peice of the shoulder strap to the central connection, it already seems to be streaching out under heavy loads of books and binders (used for one entire semester)."

"Got this as a gift to my high schooler who's really tough with his other backpacks. The "large" size seems like a misnomer - it is not as big as I anticipated. There are not enough room for his books plus the only outside pocket barely contained his calculator. We're still trying to figure out where to put his other accessories (pen/pencil holder, cell phone, etc.)"
