"This case matches the description on the website and the previous reviews I read before buying it. It is clearly too large for commuter aircraft overheads as a complete unit and must be removed from the rolling carriage in order to carry on and store on board. The unit has three zippers which attach the case to the rolling carriage; one down each side along the back and another along the bottom. This is not something you can easily do on board the plane. This is an opportunity for a design improvement in future models. All in all, the case is well made and is well sutied for overnight business trips; the primary purpose for my purchase of this bag."

"McKLEIN IS McCRAPPY !!! I cannot have had a more parallel experience with this product and the customer service dept. than with Scott from Riverdale, NJ who gave his negative review. My so-called heavy duty zipper fell apart too after just one year of very light duty. The warranty is NOT honored. I spent hours trying to get them to replace the bag which I had clearly documented to them in correspondence as sub-standard in construction. They wouldn't replace mine, or replace the zipper either. They had the balls to offer me a discounted¿ replacement at a price that was 75 bucks more than I paid for mine!!! WTF!! Fast forward to a year after my contact with McKlein customer support, and I am still seething at how poorly constructed this product is, and what a dishonest company McKlein is. I'm so pissed, that I took time out of my busy life to bitch about my experience for you all to read. I have still been barely getting by using this bag with its broken zippers (that's right, a second one broke), and separated/detached shoulder strap. For a bag that has only traveled to and from work in a car for two years, it looks as though it was on the beach at Iwo Jima. McKlein Bags are McTURDs !!! RUN!!! RUN AWAY FAST!!!"

"I think the product is quite versatile and a vastly superior product to my previous case, which I purchased retail. The removable portfolio was a surprise, as I was able to carry my organizer and sensitive papers in there with the benefit of the shoulder strap. The case rolled well, had very sturdy zippers and handles, and fit all of the paperwork I travel with. All and all, I look forward to my next trip with it this week."

"I purchased the McKlein P Series Bag and the zippers failed after about 2 years. They do not replace zippers or repair the bag and recommended the "Chicago" in 2007 because of its warranty. I travel frequently and liked the removable bag from wheels for commuter flights. So I bought the Chicago in 2007. The side of the bag SPLIT at a seam which make it irreparable according to McKlein. I have gone back and forth with their customer service, and their "Limited Lifetime Warranty" is bull because they cannot repair the bag and will not replace it. I am returning another bag I was going to buy from them as a gift. For the price, you might as well upgrade to someone else who will honor their warranty. They offered me 50% off full retail which is close to what the bags sell for on the web. WARNING: DO NOT BUY any McKlein products, they don't honor warranties."

"I was looking for the largest wheeled laptop bag available, since I frequently carry lots of files, folders, etc. So far I'm satisfied. If anything, the McKlein is TOO flexible. The bag can be separated from the wheels and handle with zippers. I very much appreciate included the waterproof cover, as my previous bag got soaked in the rain and caused colored file folders to bleed! It also comes with a very nice small briefcase. A couple of small complaints -- it's impossible to lift the bag by the hand straps with the telescoping handle extended. You've got to stop at the foot of the stairs, push the handle down and then lift the bag. I don't care for the "floating" nature of the bag due to the way it zips into the armature of the wheeled frame, But so far it's held up ..."

"Fits poorly into aircraft overhead baggage storage. The telescoping handle is short if you are over 5'-11" tall."

"The McKlein bag is excellent. The 17" laptop computer fits easily into the padded slot and there is plenty of room to store additional items. The included removable briefcase is a good addition to the overall case. I spent time researching all wheeled cases and felt that the McKlein offered exceptional value, was durable, and would give me plenty of space to haul everything needed on a daily basis. The case was shipped immediately and arrived promptly at my home. Service from eBags was great!"

"It's a little heavy. Good quality for the price. It fits tight under the seats of a regional jets (ERJ-145), but it won't leave much room for your feet. Fits good in the overhead compartment of a Boeing MD-80. If you need to carry two laptops and a bunch of adapters and documents works pretty good, but don't try to carry that in your shoulder. Not so sure about the detachable wheels, sounds like a good idea; but in practice is a little complicated to detach/attach using all those zippers."

"I found that I needed a bag to help roll my laptop and misc. gear rather than carry. I also wanted something slightly larger to accommodate a change of clothes on international jaunts. I looked through the selection carefully and settled on the R-Series Chicago. My objective was to avoid door checks for bags and have something that I could carry on on RJ's. The Chicago had size, good reviews, and was selected. Basically I love and hate the bag. It gives me lots of space to fill, but that is also a problem! With the fixed base (an innovative way to deal with wheels and handles), the bag will not fit in overheads in RJ's, which means checking at the door. I am not confident that the bag is tough enough for that route (even though the base unit does protect the bottom of the bag), particularly because it is a computer carrier. So, I regularly have to unload stuff, often leaving the computer in an overhead (not allowed on your lap) and then the case can fit under the RJ seat if the handles go in first - a bit of a bother getting out. So, I love the bag and its quality, the design is innovative and compelte, but you may tend to put more stuff than you should, it will get heavy, and it will be a problem in RJ overhads and those of some other airlines (like the side pockets on some 747's."

"It'sd a great case, but despite being assured that my laptop (Dell XPS M1710) would fit, it does not fit well enough and the zippers on the laptop compartment are already failing after about a month's use."
