"After having used it for two weeks now, I can say that I am extremely impressed with this case. First, the storage capacity is enormous. I can fit my iPad Booq bag, laptop, cables, several books and myriad folders all in the interior main compartment and store a lot of ancillary items in the interior and the side zippered pockets, including dedicated spaces for pens, cell-phones, key-clip, etc. The case itself is made of very nice leather, and if past experience with this brand's bags is any indication, will be quite durable. There is ample interior padding to protect electronic equipment from rough handling of the case and provide some moisture protection as well. As mentioned, there are four zippered pockets overall, and the zippers are smooth and rugged. The case rolls very smoothly and fairly quietly. The wheels seem rugged, and the telescoping handle strikes me as more solidly built than that of many other similar products I have tried and owned. The frame itself is impressive. It is light yet extremely tough. There is a hidden compartment in the frame that stores a spare buckle (for the detachable system) and a zippered bag containing a weatherproof cover for the entire case. As for the detachable system itself, I find it to be extremely easy to use. It took me about 45 seconds to detach the case the first time I tried, without reading the instructions. The second attempt took less than 30 seconds. Detachment is a simple process: squeeze/unlock the four buckles (two on the back and two on the bottom) and lift the case out. Reattaching the case takes about the same time because it simply involves reversing the removal process. Once the case is separate from the frame, there is no sign or clue at all that it is part of a roller system because the buckle slots on the bag are cleverly integrated into the case so as to be nearly invisible. A professional would have no qualms walking into a meeting with this handsome, highly functional case."

"Open Letter to McKlein: About 11 months ago your company informed me that you will fail to honor the warranty on my bag I purchased from your company. It was the 2nd bag I owned from your company as the first one had the zippers fail. The failure occurred in less than one year from initial purchase, but I waited a few months to contact you. You offered me 50 off full price for your supposed "lifetime" warranty bag. Websites sell your bags at 50 off full retail, so the offer you made to me is and was an insult to my intelligence as a consumer. Fact is that your bag sold to me was defective the way it came apart at the seam. The fact that you would not replace it is inexcusable considering your "limited lifetime warranty." I owned the bag less than one year when this happened! I guess your company uses the term "limited" very liberally! Here are some consequences of your failure to honor your warranty from where I purchase it. This is the truth! You company's "Warranty" isn't worth the paper it is printed on! "I purchased the McKlein P Series Bag and the zippers failed after about 2 years. They do not replace zippers or repair the bag and recommended the "Chicago" in 2007 because of its warranty. I travel frequently and liked the removable bag from wheels for commuter flights. So I bought the Chicago in 2007. The side of the bag SPLIT at a seam which make it irreparable according to McKlein. I have gone back and forth with their customer service, and their "Limited Lifetime Warranty" is bull because they cannot repair the bag and will not replace it. I am returning another bag I was going to buy from them as a gift. For the price, you might as well upgrade to someone else who will honor their warranty. They offered me 50 off full retail which is close to what the bags sell for on the web. WARNING: DO NOT BUY any McKlein products, they don't honor warranties.""

"I already returned it. One of the combination locks stopped working after two days and I had to bust it open to remove my contents. Kind of disappointing."

"There were no instructions included with the bag to explain how to use the unique clipping system or how to operate the combination locks. Had to go to the manufacturer's website where the information was also not all that easy to find."

"Replaced a favorite 15 year briefcase. Good leather. Nice construction. My laptop is 17.3 and only fits if placed in diagonally. Thrilled with the roller design - easy on and off. Very roomy. Well organized."

"A bit disappointed as the only reason I bought it was to roll my Dell 17-inch around, but it is a very tight fit."

"This is the best catalog case I've found, having tried a few I've had the most success with this one. Others couldn't fit easily under the seat in front of me in airplanes, they were big and bulky without any pockets that allowed me to store everything I bring with me. The removable wheels are a great idea, though I find that I just use the case w/o them. Lightweight, sturdy, everything I was looking for. Highly recommend it, worth the money."
