"I was looking for backpack that would accommodate my laptop, DSLR body and 2-3 lenses with some other stuff. So far this backpack fits the bill perfectly I am able to fit my Dell XPS13 laptop, D80with MB-D80 grip attached to a 18-200 lens, a 12-24 F4 & 70-200 2.8 comfortably in the bottom and still have room for a jacket, headphones, snack and water bottle. This still counts as a single piece of luggage & the airlines have not asked me to weigh it yet! I have used Mountainsmith packs in hte past & am very satisfied with their durability."

"I purchased the backpack for my son for Christmas. He wanted a backpack to fit not only his camera and lens' but also his school books and supplies. Everything fits, everything is easily accessible and the backpack is extremely durable."

"The Borealis AT is a great bag if you need to carry a laptop, some other stuff (think book, change of clothes, etc.) AND have proper camera storage. The camera area is the base is fantastic, well padded, sufficient dividers, etc. The top area is big. That's the one question I have -- is the bag just a tad too big. I got it because my Lowe Pro had a great camera space, but I couldn't carry my laptop or much else. Just something to think about when deciding on this or a smaller bag. The straps and waist strap make it very comfortable."

"This is a great backpack. It is a little heavy. You camera will be safe. No place to carry a water bottle."

"I bought this bag for my trip to Africa & it worked perfectly! In the camera cushion section, I fit two Canon bodies, 2 large lenses & a handful of accessories. Since I used this as my carry-on, I was able to pack an extra shirt, some toiletries, my laptop, power-cord, portable hard-drive, book, point & shoot camera, batteries, etc. Lots of room! With all my gear, it weighed close to 17lbs & thanks to the all the adjustable straps & waist belt, it was very comfortable to carry. I would highly recommend this product for anyone needing a camera bag/backpack for a day trip or a trip to an exotic location!"

"Sturdy bag, a bit heavy but built to be durable. Instead of a laptop that I rarely carry with me on a photo shoot, I plan on putting a 70-oz hydration bladder in the laptop compartment and turning this bag into a hydration daypack when needed!"

"Nice sturdy bag - it was actually larger than I expected. Very well designed and laid out to maximize storage space. I like the fact that the camera padding can be removed to make it a regular daypack style bag for the times when you're not hauling your camera around. The straps are well designed so that not all the weight is distributed onto your shoulders and feels quite comfortable for long walks. I'm very impressed with this backpack. It's a super deal and has a better design than equivalent packs from the likes of Lowepro."
