"This is the first Mountainsmith product I have ever owned and I will have to say that it looks and feels great on my back. I have purchased many backpacks in trying to find one that felt comfortable and met my needs as far as functionality, and I will have to say that the Mountainsmith Falcon 55 came out ahead of the other packs. Other packs I tried out were the Greagory 65, Savant 58, Osprey, and Kelty brands but the Falcon 55 was the most comfortable while hiking. The pack is listed for 55L but the bag can be easily expanded for longer trips to 60L. The pack has adjustable shoulder harnesses that can be independately adusted, this is the only pack I have seen that is capable of this type adjustment. I was a little weary of this pack due to little reviews found, but my worries were gone once I used it for the first time. The pack carried well and did not cause any pain to my lower back or shoulders. This packs weight is not the lightest at 4lbs. 12oz but this has no bearing on the comfort as I have worn packs much lighter which have been uncomfortable. I believe this pack will provide years of dependable use and the eBags price was the best I found anywhere. Thanks eBags!"

"A near perfect multi-day backpack. Better than several I have rented. A little large for a weekender but with the numerous straps it compacts very nice for a smaller load. Price was fantastic and the shipping was crazy quick! A great find."

"I bought this because I had an older Mountainsmith bag that was excellent, I just needed a larger size for winter/alpine mountaineering. This bag is definatly v2.0 with many improvements over my old bag with organizational elastics on nearly everything to sinch and stowaway excess strappage, nice internal camelback sling and over-the top/bottom straps for adding additional bulkage. The top of the bag works separately as an over-the-shoulder daypack which is cool as well. I used this bag on a ski-mountaineering trip op Mt. Rainer in Washington. I was a little worried it wouldn't be big enough to hold everything I needed for the 4 day trip but it preformed well. I Stuffed it to fit 0 deg. bag, bivy sack and everything I needed + strapped the alpine skis and and an Ice Axe on the exterior and it supported the load well. I don't know why anyone would need a larger bag. A+ Mountainsmith!"
